The cross Bronx expressway has been polluting adjacent neighborhoods since long before congestion pricing was a thought and now that it's getting slightly worse people are up in arms. Congestion pricing isnt the enemy, the cross Bronx expressway (and every other highway within 1000 ft of densely populated areas) is the enemy. We need more solutions that get people out of their cars and move the transport of goods to vehicles that don't give children asthma.

What are you talking about? The Bronx never got a huge influx of traffic and pollution, not coming from Mount Vernon or Yonkers over the Palisades Bridge. Or the Whitestone The only really polluted areas in the city are Brooklyn with the Gowanus Canal and Queens with Newtown Creek. What am I missing here? I don't get it how congestion pricing in downtown/midtown Manhattan affects the Bronx negatively. I actually drive from the bronx to the upper east side every morning and noticed the traffic is less since congestion pricing was implemented. I am getting to my destination 10 to 12 minutes earlier on average now. If anything it reduced the traffic in the bronx as well.

First of all sir for us drivers coming from out of state, people take the Cross Bronx Park their cars uptown Manhattan to avoid tolls, this increase the congestion. You non drivers are a special type. Hence the increase of traffic in the Bronx, you live under a rock

People are trying to avoid congestion pricing by trying to skip to the Bronx but eventually they got to come down also these are toll bridges Triborough bridge, Whitestone bridge, Throgs Neck Bridge and the Henry Hudson Bridge on all toll bridges. And they cost more than a congestion Zone but still people are going to get charged double

F off, do you know how traffic works, people take the Cross Bronx Expresswa Park uptown Manhattan, and then the train causing an increase of traffic in the Bronx. I know because I drive through the Bronx daily and I live in Manhattan, before you make stupid comments, do some research. I don't think you'd be able to afford some of the house in certain parts of the Bronx, like Morris Park, Eastchester.
