BRONZE KNOB, ROCKWELL DELTA 31-710

This belt sander came here missing some parts. I make a bronze knob in this video. The knob is used to adjust the tracking of the sanding belt. I run and test the tracking on the sander at the end. My first thought was to make an aluminum knob but I watched a video of The Swan Valley Machineshop. Max made two knobs with brass. So I decided to do the same but I only had bronze.

Watching the making of the knob go from lumpy to round on the lathe couldn't have been more satisfying, loved it! How much is it going to cost you to send me that sander, I can't wait :).

Brother, if it spins "out of control, crazy fast" why do you want to change the motor pulley to 6 inch? That will make it 3 times (ish) faster... or did I misunderstand something?

If I put a smaller pulley on the motor or bigger on the shaft of the sander either way it will go slower. The parts list shows a five inch in the spot where a 3.5 inch is. Plus the dust collection pipe runs through the belt. I plan to make the piece and run it through there. It's available on eBay for $429.00 US. Guess why I plan to make it? Thanks Tim. @@JourneymanRandy Sorry, I thought you were referring to changing the lower pulley to a larger one... BTW Crappy Tire skips from 4" to 6" Pullies...
