This is one of the best videos Stephanie has ever done on bezeling Cabs! I've learned more from Stephanie in just a couple of vids than I did from 50 or so beading books.. She's a brilliant teacher! ❤️ 💐

Before bezelling a Lunasoft cab, be sure to apply a thin layer of resin or clear nail polish to the back. Otherwise, the metallic backing will easily scratch

I've been beading on and off for 60 years - since I was 8 years old. I learned from a young native/american boy, my age, who had a crush on me & wanted to teach me. I've been wanting to learn this technique for a long time. When I first wanted to use cabs as focal beads, I could find more info using wire than beads so that is when I started using wire. I'm so grateful to see this being taught here - thank you! 😉

OMGosh! As much as I love your "Mother Earth" pendant and your "Turquoise Love" pendant from 4 years ago, both gemstone cabochons, I really appreciate this tutorial. You've shown me that I'm on the right track with figuring out how to bezel my flat-back stones and crystals. Takes a little trial and error sometimes. One thing I really like about this design is how you used 2 different colors to create a stripe that goes up the sides of the stone. Then by reversing your 2 colors when you down-size to the 15's, it differentiates the top ring/rim from the side part. So beautiful. One thing I'd love for you to show us is how you get the scalloped edge on the top. I think I can figure it out, but it's always nice to see how. Thanks so much for this awesome tutorial! Really appreciate your time and efforts.

Hi there. I just wanted to thank you so much for showing us how to bezel a cabochon. I'm a self taught artist. I do gemstones, crystals, wire wrapping and beadweaving jewelry and special ornaments meant to be displayed. I sell at craft fairs and poshmark. I've been beading for about 4 years but never knew how to bezel a cabochon. I can bezel a round swarovski rivoli. I'm super excited to try this out on 1 of my ten thousand cabs. Lol. I appreciate your taking the time to share this with us. Once again, I can't thank you enough. Sincerely, Melissa Doucette p.s you're a super teacher.

Happy Summer Days Stefi!!! I am thrilled and over the moon that today we get to start this new series!!! Recently I bought a book which was recommended to me on bezelling cabochons. What a waste of money! Your video was so much more instructive and so inspirational. Your choice of beads is always so beautiful and inspiring. This book was the complete opposite in choice of beads - delicas didn’t even get a mention - and there was very little there that I found inspiring.

Hi Stephanie! Always love your tutorials but this one I really needed. I tried doing this months ago and my natural stone was thicker. I tried doing the normal bezeling and it pooched in the back so I tried another round of 15s still bad so I did another. Couldn’t get it to look like your beauties. 🥺 I gave up which is not my nature. What could/should I have done to make this work? Maybe this was too thick for bezeling? Thank you for sharing all your talents! I enjoy your tutorials and you were one of my first teachers here several years ago when I started this rewarding journey. 😬😍💐

I have a couple of questions, I hope someone can answer. I have quite a few loose stones of different shapes and sizes. Cobachons, emerald cuts, faceted ovals, even a few marquis cuts. Some of them a rather large, some a really small. I would love to bezel them all using bead weaving. So my questions are: What is the difference between making a bezel for a cabochon, and a faceted oval? Is it possible to make a beaded bezel for an emerald cut, and a marquis cut? Does it matter that these loose stones were purchased over 30 years ago? Are there tutorials for bezeling emerald cut and marquis cut stones?

Thank you 🙏 You can use the Empress Pendent video to do the scalloped inside edge on this bezel. Here is a link. It’s the same size stone kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJnRkJyFqN9pZrs

This is wonderful - I've just unearthed a treasure trove of vintage flat bottomed stones and now I want to go play with them. But I have to ask, where did that magnificent navy blue stone come from? It (and the accompanying bezel) is gasp-worthy.

+Lita Kaufman Thank you Lita🌻 The navy stone is a Lapis Lazuli from my stash. I purchased it at a bead show years ago. You might find one on Potomacs website or Beadaholique possibly. Fusion Beads had them but that is no longer an option.

Thank you so much for sharing this video, I am a beader, but I have only done earrings, I am a hands on learner so reading how to doesn't help that much, lots of Books but haven't learned that much, I just learned ALOT watching your video, I do have question though, do you have to use delicate or can you use 11/0's? I have subscribed as I know I can learn a whole lot.
