I have lived in an apartment on my own in NYC for the past two years and the single most useful thing I had was a TV (which I think you are already getting?). Even if you are not a big TV watcher, it makes a HUGE difference having it on for background noise when you're feeling lonely. I also liked it for watching the evening news while I ate dinner and turning that into a routine. So a TV is a must for me!!!

If you need extra counter space/want more. Buy a bar cart for your microwave & coffee, or your coffee maker. I put it where the trash can would normally be at the end of my bar and it’s a life saver and I can move it (it has wheels)!

Brooke, I know exactly how you feel with your back mine get soooo sore sometimes especially when I’m studying a lot. I recently went to physio and she did a dry needling treatment on me. It was two sessions but made the world of difference! Would totally recommend if you have ongoing pain, my sister got it done a couple for years ago and hasn’t had any problems since :)
