I actually am starting to feel bad for these athletes that have to explain themselves constantly to the social media mob who is looking to pick apart any and everything. Athletes like Brooke don’t have to explain why they aren’t doing a workout or why it didn’t go well.
@RickEllis689 ай бұрын
Yea, these athletes don’t have to explain anything to us but I think they are doing their best to make content. Again I agree that we don’t need an explanation why a workout went bad but I wish them all the best.

I was thinking to share an idea on here for these kinds of injuries. Please feel free to point out how it could, or could not work, cause I'm not a doctor, but this idea has come to me after years of several tears (rips). If you can get to the tear with accupuncture, it would cause the body to see the tiny injuries and begin rebuilding. I used to think accupuncture was ridiculous, but if you think about it, it is probably very effective for tendon tears. In your case, you would need a way to watch the needles penetrate the damaged area and since the Labrum is deep in the shoulder, I guess you'd have to use very flexible needles to get around the ball. I truly believe accupunture therapy would cause complete recovery if the tear can be penetrated properly and the intervals for maximum recovery can be determined. I think guess work could work, but if you can get the right people on this, you're time spent in therapy would shrink significantly.

Hey Brooke, I’m not sure who your doctor is, but your labrum is not going to heal itself. You can get surgery to reattach your labrum, but it’s not going to heal. My buddy had a SLAP tear and a Bankart tear and tried to rehab for 3 years with no luck.
@RafaelMichiels9 ай бұрын
True!
@Emily_Egan9 ай бұрын
Depending on the size, location and other characteristics of the tear…small tears don’t necessarily need to be fixed. Aggressive PT would generally by the first line treatment for someone her age, even with her being a competitive CrossFit athlete. PRP is also a great non-surgical option. Wishing you lots of success in the rest of the season Brooke!!
@RoughneckRecreationRentals9 ай бұрын
@@Emily_Egan true, but there isn’t enough blood flow to the area for it to heal itself. She has crazy strong stabilizing muscles which is going to help at first, but they will go and eventually her bicep tendon will go too.

I love brook but she’s always getting hurt, I’m not sure if it’s just bad luck or what it is. Every year I’m excited to see her compete and then something happens. Same with the other athletes that I’m excited for, it’s always I’m hurt or I have mental issues 🤷🏻♀️
@haroldpatrick41459 ай бұрын
Not worth injuring yourself permanently to get a couple scores on the board and most of all you’re just causing permanent damage not longevity
@bulletproof15819 ай бұрын
You should get stemcells injected into the labrum area considering how important the area is, I'd say only 1 injection needed, do 1 warm up set per week using the area, same amount of weight each week, or same bodyweight move each week, the amount of reps you can do to 75% effort will increase week by week, once the number of reps stays the same from 1 week to the next, this is when you know the stemcells have fully run their course and you can get back to proper training using your shoulder :)
@straussp63679 ай бұрын
Brooke, what’s the diagnosis on your shoulder? I’m pending imaging due to similar shoulder pain from the same exercises as you mentioned. Wondering if it’s related to the elbow dislocation….
