They had to be moved due to the Brooklyn Street Roundhouse being demolished. The #644 and #231 were vandalized in 2013 and they had to leave Oregon. Nowadays as of 2023, BNSF #3613 has been preserved, #644 is operational as #6976 and Amtrak #231 is undergoing operational repairs.

So, I assume there not enough money to build a new roundhouse quite yet isn't there? So everything for the most part is being stored over by Lake Yard? Do you guys know how long It will be stored there? Kinda sad, but better then being scraped!!!

no the equipment is scattered all over the place the sleeper is out of service do to vandalization the up car is owned by the PRPX and is in the prosses of being secured the great northern car was sold to private ownership the locomotives are in Nevada I believe I haven't the slightest clue what happened to the rest

@@carterthegargantuan785 The Daylight painted sleeper is scheduled to be scrapped. The UP painted baggage car has been sold to private interests out of state. The UP painted tank car has been scrapped. The old ALCO FA-1 is SP&S 866, which is going to be moved to the Oregon Rail Heritage Center (ORHC) in Portland. The Willamette and Pacific tank car has been scrapped. DLMX # 5000 and DLMX # 5001, the two old SP Shasta Daylight RPO cars are going to be scrapped. The Empire Builder painted coach car PRPX # 1130 "Ice Lake" has been sold to private interests out of state. The Daylight painted F40PHR is originally Amtrak # 231 (now Dynamic Rail Preservation 231) has been sold to the Nevada State Railroad Museum (NSRM) near Carson City, Nevada, which is undergoing restoration to operational condition there. The SDP40F-2 on the rear was originally Amtrak 644, later Santa Fe 5266/ BNSF 6976 (now Dynamic Rail Preservation 644), has returned to operational condition at the Nevada State Railroad Museum (NSRM) near Carson City Nevada. BNSF EMD SW1000 # 3613 (ex BN # 388) on the head end leading the train, has been donated to the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation (ORHF) in Portland.

Typically it is a group of equipment operating on an FRA waiver. There generally will be a train order restricting the speed of the train with the "sick equipment", and will be accompanied by Mechanical Department (Carmen) representatives to supervise the movement of the non-compliant consist, thus the hospital train name.

days after this video was made the Bloods broke into the siding by the museum and vandalized the locomotives. They were moved to Utah for refurbishment and not they are in jeopardy.

@Polybun I honestly don't mind if you ask me. :) It's nothing more then some letters that make up a sound. It makes no sense to charge a (non-profit) organization for a name on the side of a box car on display 95-99.9% of the time. And there are (trained) engineers out there who know boilers. They won't (PASS) a boiler test if its not safe for operations. I don't know how much you know about trains and there equipment, but for starts, you shouldn't comment on something YOUR not educated in. :)

@Polybun The fact of the matter is LOGIC. :) So, lets be straight here shall we? If a boiler can explode, (due too high pressure, or safty valves don't give, ect) so can a diesel locomotive. A SD40-2, GP38-2, a Dash 9, a SD70MAC, a ES44AC, even a SD70ACe. ANYTHING can be spontaneously explode when you look at the big picture. So, once again, PLEASE, I ask of you to not comment on these types of things until you become MORE educated in these areas. :)

@joshandkorinna Naw, that aint gonna happen. Last I looked, my investments are pretty secure. If it were a logo I owned, I would absolutely make sure it's appearance is appropriate and consistent with the image I wish it to project. And if I were a D****, which I am not, don't you think I would use worse language than you have summoned up?
