I’d recommend spending any free time you have finding resources and using references to further your art experience, but you can’t get good without practicing. @@zonebro6205 Of course of course, I’m in the same position (but without the parental birdwatching lol). I’ve still got a lot to learn because I was having a bit of a shutdown for a few years, but I started drawing again. I want to be good enough to make animations or animatics at the least, plus having good works to flesh out my imagination worlds. I definitely want to write a book or graphic novel too, but you have to get those baby steps in! Start with fundamentals; breaking down things into simple shapes, practical your brushstrokes (this applies to pencils too!), and understanding anatomy are my top priorities for getting in efficient practice. Though, I have a ways to go 😅
