Two components that make up the Brooklyn sound: First is of course, the bass in the left hand and/or left foot. Secondly, is the "wrap arounds". A good example of this is the intro to God Wants a Yes by professor James Hall. Speaking of Professor Hall, when it comes to someone who I think has mastered the Brooklyn sound as taught by our beloved Dr. Butch Heyward, he is the next successor for sure.
