Hyperion max 2 is fantastic and enough cushion for long runs. I have 200 miles into mine. You are right, you can run slow easy and pick up the pace. I actually didn't find this shoe rigid at all.

My ghost max 2 felt a half size short but otherwise it’s a great shoe

I had the same exact experience! I’ve had the glycerin max on and also had the same experience so I kinda think the Hyperion max will be the same deal

Nitrogen infused midsole is nothing innovative. Skechers came out with this technology 3-4 years ago with hyperburst. The problem with Brooks is that they can’t keep the weight down.

Its not a problem. They primarily target the consumer with quality and durability. It takes the consumers dollar further and that means something to a lot of people. My experience in Brooks and what also draws me to them are, im injury free like never before. Im faster because of that and when I want to fly, I throw on the supershoes where durability is less concerning.
