Matt was the best singer that ever came out of a boy band from the UK, & one of the best singers out of the UK period. He really could reach some extraordinary vocal notes live, especially when you heard him live at the Wembley Stadium concert in 1989.

I remember I was 9 yrs old , when Bros came to fame, and I had 2 casstess of them, but they were very big at the time, when I heard when will I be famous, I mistake them to a female voice, until when I saw them on top of the pops in 1987 at that age, 😆

I was there in the front row with my then girlfriend, I queue’d overnight for tickets and was 5th in the queue, I met Jermaine Stewart who was to the side of the stage and got his autograph, it was a great concert 👍 I’m not sure how true it was but while queuing overnight for the tickets a white Suzuki vitara soft top with a body kit on it drove past a couple of times and there were rumours it was Bros ?

Agreed! Matt had such charisma, knew how to work a stage and create a feel good feeling with his audience and his voice is excellent. And Bros were a wholesome band, no dirty lyrics and drug taking either.
