Yes agreed ! You know, I have never seen a room with an intact skylight. Looked like what I have seen depicted as an aid to taking indoor photography portraits. It crossed my mind because they did have the working mercantile downstairs. Just a thought.

You guys give me hope for this messed up world. Every time I watch any Urbex video where there are beautiful wooden staircases or tables or dressers, I literally want to grab the Pledge and 10 or 15 soft cloths and go to work dusting and polishing. Can't do it from Wilmington North Carolina, of course. However, when I see you reversing the dark energy of vandals, I feel truly inspired and optimistic about a future where more people will cherish art and life and the passing of time, than those who want to destroy those things. Thank you for being classy, and caring.

As someone who has been unable to protect my childhood home from those who simply trashed it, and finally burned it down (at a time when my grandmother was dying with cancer), I appreciate your efforts. It made me cry because it was a sign of respect that I wish someone, anyone had shown my family. We stopped to get a bite to eat one long afternoon and we overheard 3 men bragging about what they had been doing to our home. The one asked the address and the other two clarified the address. He said a very crude thing and, my being seated behind him, hearing this was hard to take. I wanted to pour my soft drink down his neck,. but didn't. LOL

It breaks my ♥️ to see these beautiful antiques just rotting away 🥺I wish that once a home is confirmed that it’s abandoned…there would be some type of estate sale. Then, the money could be donated homeless shelters or schools in need of improvements. This would be a goldmine for antique dealers.

✨✨Lesley and Danny , you asked about why people would do this vandalism. This looks like it has been done by someone who was looking for specific items , like for jewelry , gold and cashable bank certificates . I say this because most of the mess is focused on going through the desks , cabinets and dresser drawers. Then when what they were looking for was not there , they got miserable about it and made a terrible mess of it !! It just feels to me like they were searching specifically for somethings of value . When I was a child I used to dream about going to France , Belgium and Norway just to explore the castles there. These places where my ancestors where from. My mother shared my dreams. She is not here to see what you are doing but I know she would have loved to watch your channel like I am doing right now. The transformation of that room after you cleaned it was a wonderful gesture of respect. ThankYou for allowing me to take part in this wonderful journey of discovery that your sharing with us .🙏🏼🇨🇦 ✨🌲🦶🏿🌳🧚♂️🌲🐕🦺☺️🕊️✨Denise Duval

I’ve written2 separate messages to you and I guess I e hit the wrong button. Well, to cut it short, I through enjoyed watching this and every other video too. I love what you and your friends do. If it weren’t for you, we would never know about the fantastic castles. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for cleaning up the vandalism from those creeps! I just hope you can catch them all. They should be made to clean the entire castle for doing that. Oh yeah, and pay for the things they took! I really appreciate all that you have done to show us these beautiful places. God Bless you and you friends. Always, Tina. PS : people should donate their fancy belongings (furniture mostly) to a museum for showing , and by doing this these beautiful things could stay nice for people to enjoy. Like one huge room for each owners belongings. That museum would be one huge location with several rooms. Wonder if something could come of this thought? Let me know what you think? Always you friend, Tina. 👋 bye now💋‼️

The religious cabinet is a precious artifact of Christ and is probably early 1800’s. It needs to be in a church or museum. It makes me want to cry to see it in a house that will collapse. History should not be allowed to be lost. That benefits no one.

There are many problems with these old abandoned buildings. Most of them have very deteriorated roofs, allowing water to leak everywhere. That leads to a terrible musty old smell. Especially in the fabric's. That smell doesn't come out. It even gets into the wood. It's so sad that it all goes bad. We are lucky to have Lesley and crew to show us how it was back in the day.
