😢 It's sad to see what happens when you pass away. It seems like the history of your life and ancestors disappears. This is a very old home that, in my opinion, dates back to the 1700's. The kitchen tells us how old it was because they were cooking with a fireplace and some of the kitchen pans were very old. It will all be gone soon! Thank you for sharing this with us! 😊

The computer on the dining table is a minitel. It was in widespread use in France during the 80's when I was there. It was an amazing precursor to the internet.

@Chainsaw1974 Ай бұрын
Yeah, a Minitel model 1, in this house a model from Matra communications. Tried to write a lot about this in the comments here, but seems, KZbin doesn't like it. I knew about Minitel, but was just now amazed, after reading more about it, which services it provided, and this over a phone line, long before the internet even started for the publicity. Also surprising, that it is easy to find some old Minitel computers on Ebay, they must have been widespread.

You guys are still the best on the net. Lesley has the perfect voice and respect for the previous inhabitants, and Danny is superb with the camera shots. He truly takes us along, and I feel as if I'm right there with Lesley. I hope you guys find many more abandoned places so that you can entertain for many moons to come. I'm much older at 58, however, I know that if I were younger and had the ready availability that we have today with cameras and the net, I most definitely would be out searching these places! Hell, if I make it to retirement in 2-3 years and have the health I have now, maybe I will do some searching and traveling just for my own entertainment. You guys are the best, and I hope you continue to provide us with quality entertainment. I always want to see the books and what types they are, and I would literally get lost in a place like this for hours!! Thanks again. Peace, young fellas, stay safe!!

AAhh! The eccentrics of France you have to love it. Your experience took us to a bedroom that was just awesome a place to view the stars. Then next to it the place had caved in seriously I didn't expect to see that especially after looking at the bedroom it was my wow moment. I must say the balcony really was sketchy as Danny said scary stuff. If that place could talk, we would hear an amazing history. Thank you, Lesley, and Danny for another great exploration you put the life back in this place. Get well Danny and stay well Lesley.

I am fascinated by the bedrooms all with rooms connecting to the balcony. It's so romantic, well, for unmarried guests lol, meeting in the moonlight. Lesley please do not take so many risks. Listen to Danny. Have you thought about using a walking cane to test the floors before you move forward? That balcony looked so rickety. Great video, great house, great story.

Hey Lesley, as always an awesome explore adventure, you were doing together with Danny! The library/ living room with the beautiful and intact antique furniture was my favourite room. The contrast between the quite modern computer items and the antiques was really remarkable to see! Of course it was on the other hand also rather sad to see some very messed up rooms, as the former owner seems to have been collecting a lot of stuff as hoarders usually do. Sad background story about the former owners life after his wife had passed away. - Great camerawork by Danny, and as usual I enjoyed listening to your conversations. Looking forward to your next explore adventure. Stay safe, peace and kindest greetings.

This once gorgeous, pristine, immaculate, loved property was absolutely breathtaking!!! I sooo enjoyed the tour through it’s beautiful rooms & imagining the peace, tranquility & luxury that this once iconic place held!!! I imagined, as we toured, it all cleaned out, fresh paint on the walls & new Timbers replacing the old, rotten wood! Each feature of this phenomenal property was unique & one of a kind!!! The last owner had an engineer based brain, meaning, he was very smart but had an almost hoarder type mentality! It would cost an astronomical amount of money to restore this property!!! But sadly, the children of the last occupant , could go in there, rescue the fabulous antique wooden furniture that was throughout the home!!! Sooo very many of the items could be sold, donated or gifted to museums or libraries!!! It breaks my heart 💔 to see all of these wonderful treasures & memories go to waste & be absorbed by the elements 😞😢😰 Thank you Leslie & Danny for sharing this wonderful adventure with us!!! I truly loved it 👍🙏♥️

The postcard is from my home town Nancy in Lorraine (east of France) and shows the statue is of Stanislas , King of Poland and Duke of Lorraine, on Place Stanislas (Stanislas Square), one of the if not THE most beautiful square in Europe with the incredible buildings around. Great video Lesley & Danny, thank you. Mr. Lefevre certainly made a lot of mess but many of the rooms and his equipment were neatly put away and labeled. So, I'm thinking that a lot of the "mess" was made after he passed away. It could have been family trying to sort through his belongings and taking what they wanted. It looks like they gave up and left everything in piles. It doesn't look like they went through all the rooms though.
