Very good vid. Yes its sad to see how in the end people just cant cope with living in the home they love any more. My neighbour lived in her home for 65 years, every day she went out to get a paper and from my window it always made me happy to see her walk past, rain wind snow she was out, i would always pop over and have a cup of tea with my neighbour she would make it in the teapot and china cups where the order of the day, i started to notice she was becoming very forgetful and that was hard to watch, i would then bring her to my home and make her tea and that, she was going down hill fast, would not take her meds and started to get lost when she went out, i had to call for help for her in the end, my neighbour went into nuresing care and is happy she is 97 now, when i go to see her she still remembers me, at Christmas time i went to a party in the home it was wonderful, people always think its better to try and remain in your own home but communitys are not the same these days and sometimes familys could not care less, some lead very lonely lives sometimes not seeing any one for days. I miss my neighbour on the street but i am happy she is safe and happy. This young guy on the vid understands its so important to show you care and remember that was someones life in that home for such a long time, hope the cat is still ok and the old lady is doing ok. Bless you for this wonderful vid.

Chris Mullan I had to put my mom in a care home about 3 yrs ago. It turned out she had dementia, when she was diagnosed and put on medication she was much better, I was trying to let her live in her home as long as possible. She became difficult when the homecare nurses came to give her, her medication. She started pretending she took it, without it she would hallucinate and was starting to become a danger to herself so we had to put her in a care him, she didn’t like it but the staff is amazing and caring looking after the residents. I found out they could look after her so much better in a care home then I could. It wasn’t easy to get her help so I can’t imagine what would have happened to her if she had no one to help her get the help she needed. So it is very sad for these people. Oh and my mom passed away July 10 this year 2019.

It's heartbreaking what happened to their home. I know it sounds terrible that they are living in a shelter but things could have been much worse for them...one or both could have perished in the fire, or they may not have been fortunate enough to find a Shelter close by so that the son can visit and care for their cat. God Bless them and I pray they find a new home to live in soon. Thank you for bringing their unique story to us and sharing their once beautiful home. You always see the beauty in these places rather than the Decay. Every abandoned house as once someone's home, and within the decaying walls lies many years of memories and history of the families that once lived in them. You and Jordi do is bring these memories back to life even if it is only for a few minutes at a time. And we can see through your eyes what these old abandoned places reveal. I always enjoy watching your videos and see the joy it brings to so many viewers. Til next time...

I just recently discovered urban exploration videos and have watched quite a few from a number of explorers. None of them have touched me like this one. Your compassion and respect for the elderly woman and her son are so refreshing and beautiful. Sadly, that kind of regard for the older generation is rare among young people like yourself in my country. I gladly subscribed to your channel and look forward to more of your videos!

Hi Guys. That outside toilet is called an Outhouse here in the United States. Happy New Year!! I just love your channel. You have such a big heart. I can tell you wear your heart on your sleeve.

Cindy McGuire - I think too, they called it a "privy" in times past.

It’s called a ‘dunny’ or ‘thunder box’ here in Australia

outhouse, yes, i was going to reply the same. it' s a hole dug in the ground with a 'box' built around it. that one is nice to have a toilet seat around the hole. my Granny had one( we live in the South ) you had to walk a little way to get to. a terrifying thing with snakes and black widow spiders sometimes hornets nest or yellow jackets nests . there were also chamber pots kept under the beds for night time use...this means there was no running water. it's also nice that the hand pump for water was inside.....thus endeth the lesson (March 28, 2018)

At least I would have in door plumbing for the toilet at least

I would like to second Dora Rosa's comment! You are a Sweet, Sweet Man. It's rare and beautiful to see such reverence an empathy in a handsome ,young buck. Keep you're light shining, no matter who tries to say you shouldnt. It was the way that you expressed yourself, more than the place you visited, which kept me watching, liking and subscribing... woof!

I can feel the heaviness in your voice for your care for these people !! This was not just a video of an abandon home but you brought to us someones home and their misfortune . I also pray for them that they find happiness once again and a home . Thank-you for a heartfelt and a highly respected video !!

The tragedy is so heartbreaking. I wish a few of the items, like the Bible, could be taken to the Lady of the home. You did a great job honoring their home.😥

Love the video! Great work as usual! It's a shame that the mother and son are displaced due to the fire. However, I give the son a lot of credit to going back to the home to feed the cats everyday. And I hope that both mother and son are doing very well.

I think it's a blessing if they could use their platform for something awesome like this. Even if we only raise enough for them to go to dinner. Whatever just as they know someone cares. They are kind enough to tell us their story and let us a glimpse into their lives.
