This is beautiful and so powerful!! Always a fan of Brother Ali. Definately would love to see more underground artists and have their voices heard by the masses!

He is unbelievably underrated, stupid artists from the hip hop genre get all the recognition while lacking any humane artistry, this just proves how most people have awful tastes, this is the type of music our generation is severely deprived of.

This is, BY FAR, my favorite song of the year! No hyperbole! I really, really want a music video to this song! Sharing this song with my son will forever be cemented in my heart and soul. I can't express how meaningful and important this song it to my son and I. Thank you for the love in sonic form Brother Ali!

This song would have been much more power if Brother Ali left the word "black" out of it. Super unnecessary to divide based on color. Everything Ali talked about can and does relate to white, yellow and red sons including the things about his own son. Morgan Freeman and I agree this race card shit is getting old as fuck.

Dennis Cadieux Take that “all lives matter” bs out of it. Non Black children do not have to worry about these things. The American Psychology Association found that people are more likely see black men as larger and more threatening than white men, even if the black men are not actually larger. Another of their studies show black children beginning at the age 10 begin to look significantly less innocent compared to their white counterparts. This goes along with what Ali is saying, once his son got older he wasn’t see as just a cute kid, he was seen as a threat. Go tell the mother of Tamir Rice (a 12 year old boy, who was shot and killed within 2 seconds of police arrival, playing in a park. He was described as a possibly 20 year old black man, not the child that he actually was, another one of Ali’s references) that even when the murder of her innocent child is living a free life, who continued policing almost 3 years after he unjustifiably killed her child that that them complaining about racial injustice is getting old.
