I bought two sets of each Brother cartridge... hoping to refill and switch them out when needed. Hoping it will work out with the chip reset also. Thanks for the encouragement and a video to see that this actually works!

this will happen eventually. you need to have two cartages on hand at all times for each color if you want to refill ink and spare yourself printing costs. When it stops printing you have to eject the refillable one and exchange for 2nd cartridge pm hand..it can be empty or have ink in it. Then turn off and on again and it will reset and you can put you 1st cartridge that you refill over and over. this will happen over and over eventually so keep 2 cartridges to avoid.

Hi, if I understand this correctly..basically if I had the OG cartridges it came with when I first bought the printer, they are now no longer printing because there is no more ink, and I get new authentic cartridges, and use those ones up until they can no longer be used, and then buy refill kits off ebay, I then refill the 2nd batch of cartridges I bought...then I insert the OG cartridges to "reset" the printer/chip, then put in the refilled cartridges, would that work? I can repeat this process indefinitely? I've been trying to research online but I'm not sure if I can use the old OG cartridges to reset the tank if I need to again...thank you!
