THE greatest live band EVER !! Check out Naked Eye live at Isle of Wight! I think Daltrey was a big fan of Barney Rubble 😂

So was I. Great memories generally but before the Who came on there was a sort of hippy vibe to the day, probably due to it being a hot day and people wanted to sit down. Anyone who stood up for a bop, like during Lou Reed’s gig, got empty cans chucked at them. How the Valley stadium has changed!

Was this the tour that Keith Moon had to be replaced at a concert at the Cow Palace in Daly City by a fan because he was too drunk to play? BTW, I had the opportunity to meet Terry Riley and have seen performances of In C. This is most likely more influenced by his Rainbow in Curved Air which is a magnificent album of Riley overdubbing himself with a technique similar to that used by Robert Fripp for his Frippertronics, only years earlier.

Yes, 6 months earlier! Interesting about Riley, will check that album out. - G

famously drunken terrible show... one the worst from 1974 tour and that's a shame since that tour had some fantastic shows....

Dude, if this was bad.....well, Roger thought Woodstock was their worst show, and you know how that turned out. I thought this show was magnificent.
