I'm not sure what he is saying, it's all based on what he thinks or what he has googled. From experience I can say eat brown rice witha full meal and white rice on a full meal. White rice makes you feel heavier however brown rice doesn't and hence if you switch from white to brown rice you'd be in better shape on belly fat. besides KZbinr in video is a gym going person for his digestive system it's only easy to digest heavy meals. Bit please do not think what he says applies to everyone. Go by your own experience.

But brown rice(outer bran) contains arsenic and also it's bran is exposed to all types of pesticides and chemicals so brown rice is not good as in Asia people eat white rice because bran has antinutrients which interfere with nutrient absorption so better eat white rice but with other nutritious foods with low glycemic food.

Both brown and white rice are the source of carb but the only different is that white rice is fast digesting carbs and is available to the body for energy asap while brown rice is slow digesting carbs. So the best time to use brown rice is post the workout and white rice pre workout . Cheers

Not exactly, both of them are essentially simple carbs. White is basically processed brown rice. I have paddy fields, trust me. One benefit of brown rice is that it has Fibre.

Ameen Quarishi, Guru Mann is all about fitness, not just bodybuilding. He wants people to be "healthy" in the long term, not just huge biceps & stuff. If one wants to be healthy for lifelong, he/she would require brown rice which contains other nutrients. Gaurav is for people who are into bodybuilding only, Guru mann is for people who want to build a good physique + manitain a healthy lifestyle, though I appreciate Gaurav that he's provided complete knowledge to his audience. Brown rice is nutritionally more dense.

P.S. I read somewhere sometime ago that Basmati white rice has lower GI in comparison to normal Brown Rice. Longer the grain, lower the GI. Sticky white rice or so called Thai Jasmine rice (short grain) do have a higher amount of GI, so perhaps its better avoid those ones though. Again, I read it somewhere during my own mini research I made some years ago.

FitMuscle TV: Hello Gaurav Ji. Your tip about both the rice is true. I agree about the anti nutritional elements present in the outer layer (husk) of brown rice. This was discovered long long ago when brown rice wasn't even popular among the masses. These elements do hamper the good nutritional properties of other vitamins and minerals. BUT..........we can easily restrict or destroy such anti nutritional elements by one simple trick - "PARBOILING" Brown Rice before cooking. This basically destroys those bad elements and unlocks all the good vitamins and minerals present in the outer layer. Some people even soak brown rice a day before for like 8-10 hours before cooking. This also helps in counteracting the negative elements. Hope this helps. Please get back to me with your knowledge on the Parboiling Technique.

From my experience i want to say when i started brown rice with my all exercise and protine supllements i found it was hard to increase weight and mass for a skiny person. But after one month i again started white rice and yes i found it was really easy to make mass and weight gain. May be the person who has more metabolic rate like me brown rice can effect theeir goal to gain mass. I am 31 years old having atheletic physic i do gym workout for 3 days to gain weight and volume. 3 days running and yoga. It was my experince about brown rice. May be after age 35 i will start eating brown rice daily basis

exact same experience for me too, plus it also affected my muscle gain personally, was consuming brown rice for around a year, reason was Parents. But it immediately started affecting my muscle gains i.e noticed lesser or zero rate of muscle gain thereafter. Basically brown rice would be more fruitful for elders.

I stopped eating brown rice 3 months back and switched to white rice. Brown rice gets its brown colour from phytic acid which hampers the protein and other nutrient synthesis. Hence white rice is better!

Thankyou for explaining this so nicely. Problem yehi hai ki bas aadhi adhuri batein afwavaon ki tarah failti hain. Matlab kuch nai pata hota par hum wo bas karne lagte hain. Maine bhi brown rice try loyalty tha yeh sab sun ke, but I left it after one try only cos I felt that my stomach was having hard time digesting it. Rujuta diwekar ne bhi yehi samjhaya tha ki brown is hard to digest. And like u shared when combined with protein n fiber the glycemic index goes down. Tabhi to hamare desh main dal chawal, rajma chawal etc ka combination hai. But hum log pagal ho Gaye hain West ko copy karne main aur kuch ut patang kar rahe hain. Thankyou once again for bringing this to notice.

Also, brown rice has a lot of arsenic, which is a carcinogen and also affects immunity and stunts growth. Parboiled white has much lower arsenic, hence much better
