I bought the Cynergy Trap for my youngest son to shoot on the High School Trap Team. He shot it well, but out grew it (he is now 6’ 5”). I took the gun and have shot it for the last 4 years. Many rounds of trap without a problem. I love the gun! Much the same feel when I go from the Un-single to the O/U set. I LOVE the wood and get lots of compliments on the gun as it is different than everyone else’s. Very happy with the gun!!

I currently am shooting the Cynergy CX synthetic and have about 25,000 rounds thought the gun. It has been a good gun for me, but trying to find parts and someone to work on it has been an issue. I was looking to replace my firing pins and brought it in to several gunsmiths and they all refused to work on the gun stating that the trigger was too complicated and they didn't want to risk damaging something inside of there and the only option was for me to either replace the pins myself or send it in to Browning. The gun shoots well overall though and has helped me win a few sporting clays registered events as well as sporting clays leagues.

I have the Cynergy cx 32”. Put about 5,000 rounds through it in 2 years and have had no problems. Only paid $2,000, great gun for that price!

I have one of these. They used to come with a canvas and leather covered hard carry case. Now I think they come in a Negrini hard case. I shoot around 10,000 rounds of trap a year. I compete in WRITA events in Western Oregon. The gun is wonderful. To attach the barrel sets put the muzzle on your foot and come in at almost a 90degree angle and press in and down with the stock. It has a way different hinge. The only problem I have had may have been self-induced. These guns have reverse mechanical triggers. I started having light primer strikes on the bottom because it gets much more use. The double set has more porting on the bottom bbl. Then using the single for handicap and the bottom bbl. first when shooting doubles or continental the bottom firing pin got dirty. I thought so get new firing pins and springs. Installation was pretty easy, except somehow the triggers got locked up. The local Browning authorized smith couldn't fix it and had to send it to Browning. They put on a new forearm but used all the original metal parts. I am still at a loss as how to do it right. Corporate secret, I guess. Long story but love this gun. I shot a BT-99 and a Remington 1100 Carbon stocked Trap model. Prefer the Cynergy. The trigger set is not removeable, so you have to remove the buttstock for access. I put in Calson's gold extended choke tube in it, and they give it some bling. I get a lot of comments and people like the looks. Thank you for doing this review. I have been looking for one. Some of the guns at the range are way more expensive and fancier but do they shoot any better? It works for me, and I can hold my own against most shooters. That is all I need to know. Peace and goodwill to all. Stand together or fall apart.✌

I have a Cynergy CX composIte which I use for trap and clays. Absolutely love the look & feel of it. I'm a lefty so the neutral cast is a bonus. Only 1200 rounds through it so far but no issues. Great review, always look forward to your new reviews!

This gun highlights what I don't like about browning. I think they have some if the best designed rifles and shotguns available, but the cynergy cx is $1800. For over double the price all they added was laminate, a high rib, and adjustable comb, and gave you a single barrel to go with it? Ridiculous. For that price they could have at least put it in some good walnut, or added some engravings.

There is many guns better than browning. Match up with berreta. For Example dickinson greenwing. It weigh 6.83.10 times cheaper bit good as a berreta. Most browning over under in my oppion are ugly.

We just got the Cynergy CX gray synthetic stock model 30 inch double 12 for my son. It's replacing my old Mossberg 500 pump that he used last year. He has started out great with it. 200 rounds into the fall season and he just got his first 25/25! The next round was 17/25 lol. A nice feature this gun has versus other Browning models is that you can remove the ejectors, then the kids aren't chasing empty shells all over the place. He's in 8th grade, so not coordinated enough to catch the shells yet. It's really distracting when the kids are chasing shells. The recoil is tame with the extra padding on the synthetic stock model shooting the 1oz 1180fps loads the school buys for the trap team.

My Cynergy CX is proof that the right gun can make a big difference. I get a lot of compliments at how well I am dialed in with the shotgun when it comes to trap. It’s fantastic gun. In the scheme of things… i don’t think this is worth an extra 2k. Maybe I’m too green though.

I’ve got a 2022 Cynergy CX Composite. I put 4K rounds through it last year and it ran flawlessly. I do a thorough cleaning of my shotguns every 250 shells, or just over that. No issues but very happy with the gun. Points well for me and I use it for hunting and clay shooting (trap, skeet, and sporting clays). I’m curious if the new Citori composite will perform the same.

Great video Steve! I bought this gun and I like it as much as my Browning 725 Trap Max. But I like that I was able to shoot pheasants with the Cynergy with the double barrel, even with the 32” length. I shot this at REEDS event and you know how that goes lol I have seen guys with Gracoil pads on these btw so you can change that down the road like Trap Max or BT99 Max.

there is a walnut option for this gun. My gunsmith has one as his dedicated trap gun. Really great gun

Hey Steve love your reviews. I have the same adjustable comb system on both of my 725 Sporters left hand. I really like the ease of adjustability with the single Alan key. Also makes for a sleeker look without the two holes on the comb. I also have the cynergy CX in right hand with a neutral cast, without the adjustable comb. All three have the inflex pads. I am surprised they didn't put that pad on the Cynergy trap. Being a left hand shooter I would love to hear your reviews include the degree of cast on the right hand guns. And whether they would be suitable for lefties.
@thefocusedhunter27010 ай бұрын
The trigger is actually a hybrid so if you have nothing in it you can pull it twice but if you have very light shells it won’t shoot the second one because it has to little recoil.

I have limited experience with the Cynergy as a trap coach. The only issue I have seen was a broken firing pin an a nearly new gun and parts availability is limited. They were able to find a new firing pin but it took a while. My suggestion would be if you buy one have a couple of spares on hand . Just in case.

shells are inserted very close to the balance point, so it's not going to change much

12:29 I have the 725 pro trap for under 3k wood and adjustable comb. Better gun for less. Let me add that this gun looks suspiciously like the discontinued FN SC1. Same laminate stock. FN owns Browning and Browning gunscare made in Japan. Just saying. By by the way the SC1 was a great gun.

@spencerdonaldson497410 ай бұрын
I don’t think this setup is expensive at all, seeing who it’s geared towards, but the idea of it seems quite niche, even in the sporting clays community. I think for that kind of money, I’d rather just have a shorter set and longer set of OU barrels. Trap isn’t hard, and the thought of having $2500 tied up in a dedicated trap single barrel would make me sick. Just get better at shooting trap with two barrels and graduate to shooting bunker trap.
