When they first came out I wouldn't buy one because I thought they were ugly, especially because of the euro style recoil pad. However, in September last year I purchased the synthetic version 30" and I loved it straight out of the box. It has the euro style recoil pad and it is the softest shooting 12ga I have ever shot. I liked it so much, two months later I bought another in wood, 32". It is my new clay gun now. I have owned several OU and this is a real top notch firearm. Browning never fails to deliver.

I have one over/under and it's the Browning Cynergy CX Composite. I use it mostly for trap and sporting clays. It's my favorite. My other 12 gauge is a Maxus 2. I enjoy them both and agree with your review of both guns.

I'm just getting back to the clay busting sports after a 30-year hiatus. I purchased a lightly used CF Maxus Sporting 2 weeks ago and tried it out last Saturday and failed miserably with it. My form was good, according to my squad members, but the fit of the gun wasn't. I thought a semiautomatic was the ticket but realized I really wasn't happy with this one, and what I really wanted was a quality OU that fitted me better. I started looking at different videos of OU's and saw you had reviewed this OU, and I was intrigued with it. I took the Maxus back last night and purchased this exact Cynergy . The gun feels so much better and points so much better so we will see this weekend how it does for me. Thanks for posting

Well done review. Best I've seen since my company gifted me a 12-ga. CX in 2020 exactly like yours. My CX had a sharp "cheese grater" point on the forearm removal piece, other than that it has been a jewel. The only suggestions I have for your videos is to define the loads you are using, for example, 1-ou. or 1 1/8 of shot, and at what velocity because that drives the recoil. Also, the barrel length is relevant as the previous responder asked. Scott Klamath Falls, OR.

I have one as well as a silver pigeon sporter. Both low profile receivers. Both quick and point great. The SP is prettier and a few hundred buck more expensive. The Cynergy had those nice mechanical triggers. As for “one gun” the SP wins just because it’s so easy to work on and parts are readily available…. Cynergy not so much. Cynergys had some forestock problems early on. Think they are resolved. If I get another it’ll be with the synthetic stock as it’s parallel and adjustable. Makes for a better wet weather or duck gun. I shot one side-by-side with a 725 everyone wants reviewed. For me personally the Cynergy is better than the 725, And less than half the price

I'm just getting into trap with my brother and I love it, I'm mostly focusing on mount, hold points, body position, and anticipation for where I think the clays will emerge from the house. I recently shot a member's Browning White Lighting 12 gauge with 28" barrels and I thought I'd give my compare/contrast to my brother's Rizzini BR110 Sporter X I usually use. The Browning felt more dense and svelte than the Rizzini and consequently to my feel, about a pound heavier. The Rizzini felt heavier and chunkier, slightly unwieldy by comparison. I liked the way it swung and liked the stepped rib over no rib on the Rizzini. Both stocks fit me well, I'm 5'7" with long arms, medium athletic build, and a short neck so I didn't need to ajust the comb. Triggers were smooth with no take up on both. The biggest, most noticeable thing for me is my brother's Rizzini (mabye it's a problem with them generally) the action is incredibly stiff! To where I'm fighting for leverage where the Browning almost falls open.

Bought one after watching your video among a few others and LOVE it! I use it for trap and clays and doing great with it. The only problem I have is reassembling it, it takes me several tries to line it up correctly lol. I have found that once you do get it lined up as you raise the barrel if you also put your other hand over the barrel at the receiver and squeeze it goes together much easier. Thanks for the video!!!

The waterfowl version of this is my go to duck gun. Mine has been Cericoated and I added doing studs. The design allows me to shoot magnum loads, while standing, with ease. .Now, overhead shots from a layout blind or in the socks start to push my recoil limits. I have to remind myself to keep.my head down due to the very low receiver design. The utility of the gun makes it easy to maintain, even in brackish water areas. I want Browning to make a waterfowling version in 28 gauge. The newest nontoxic loads have reopened to subgauge world to waterfowling.

I owned a Cynergy CX. Hands down I shot it better than any O/U I have ever owned. The freaking forearm developed a crack, and getting browning to give me an estimate for repair was way harder than it should have been. They kept saying, send it in and we can tell you. If Browning can't even give you an idea of a simple repair (forearm cracks are pretty common on this model), and can't give an approximate time line for the repair, I'll pass.

A daisy BB gun on a swinging tennis ball at 20 yards is the best choice for a true "beginner". Not kidding aside, the CX would be my 1st choice for a young person wanting to hunt game AND shoot clays. Start off with 1-ou. loads to keep recoil at a minimum. Avoid the 20-ga and stay w/the 12, as the person can grow into more powerful loads and recoil.

I had the chance to rent a Cynergy Composite at my local range. (Miroku - Japan Made) And to be honest, I am quite disappointed, considering all the hype online about the B-Guns. The takedown lever is quite sharp, seems unfinished to me. And the top barrel ejector started to fail on my after about 40 shots. Sometimes it would eject fine, sometimes it won't. The times it doesn't eject, I can't feel there is much friction on the hull when I am manually extracting. So I don't think the Hulls were at fault. No, it is not a brand new gun, it is a part of their rental fleet, but they do have an on-site gunsmith to take care of those guns. To me, it just seems alright. Personally, I don't feel the fit and finish is a notch above the Weatherby Orion or even the Stevens 555.
@1yehny Жыл бұрын
At the end of the day, the fit of a shotgun is of paramount importance. When I mounted my Cynergy CX, I knew it was the right gun. I tried beretta and other browning, but the CX is the one that fit me perfectly. Now 4 yrs later and about 7500 rounds, it’s been reliable. I shoot skeet or trap weekly and this gun can do both. Admittedly, the mid bead and comb are not quite high enough for many trap shooters, but I adjust my mount to see a touch more rib and it shoots great. YMMV.
