I think most of us can relate to that video Murray, midgies and clag on Skye, but it is the price we pay for the occasional glorious day on the most beautiful place in the planet! Some friends and I did this exact walk about 20 years ago at New Year in full winter conditions under blue skies.

Another nice one, Murray. 👍 Shame about not getting high enough. The whole ridge was above cloud on the 19th and probably the 18th too. As I think much of Scotland's Mountains were.😉 If there's a way of sharing a pic let me know and I'll send you one of the ridge above cloud, although to the north it was clearer. My jaw was on the floor. I was lost for words to describe it. As far as the eye could see the glens were filled in across the mainland too. 😎

No risk-it no biscuit!! The very best inversions are the ones least expected. A gallant attempt nonetheless and a grand hike. You should do a waking guide for the Cuiilin, Murray. I know there will be many guides, but not directly from time served people like yourself and Gerry. You could make a ‘Zine’ and sell it electronically via Squarespace or similar. Not sure if this is your bag, but worthy of consideration - perhaps your favourite routes and how to look after the environment whilst in the Cuillin? Cheers for another grand trip! 😎👍🏻🙏
