They shouldn't infantile him, and they don't really have much right to treat him like that when they essentially cut themselves off for 20 years. Besides that, they clearly care and love him

I mean both times he abandoned him Branch didn't even do anything wrong Bruce and the others just had a grudge against JD and for some reason they thought that cutting him out of their lives also meant they had to cut Branch out. which is especially horrible considering Branch at first tried to keep his distance from his bros at the start of the mission but it was Bruce and JD who acted all chummy towards him and encouraged him to sing with them thus getting his hopes up that they could be a family. only to shatter that dream later on JD and Bruce really should have apologised for this at the end of the film their behaviour was straight up cruel.

I actually find it really nice that they had a "hot heartthrob" character gaining weight without ever once being mean-spirited about it. Bruce isn't ashamed of his weight gain at all, and is clearly much happier now than he was when he had to constantly work out. None of his brothers ever bring it up (not even John Dory, who kept ordering him to maintain his abs in the opening scene) and even with his new appearance, Poppy doesn't consider Bruce any less of a heartthrob than he was in his heyday. I'm legit surprised that something from the Trolls franchise (which literally has an overweight character named Biggie) was able to show such restraint, when even Marvel at their best couldn't resist the fat jokes.

One thing I like about Spruce: His character design emphasize that your body shape is perfect just the way it is and since he’s the Heartrob it makes it even better. We can see that used to have abs in the time he was in Brozone but in present time now he looks a bit more overweight but that doesn’t he’s no longer attractive he still have a wife that loves him, that she still attracted to him and that she called him « Hot » at the end of the movie. Moral of the story, Love yourself just the way you are.

As silly as this is it’s honestly nice to see someone grow up from a stressful environment to a calm, easy, happy environment and have it shown by how Bruce gets fat when he’s older He found somewhere to settle and live peacefully, enjoy his time with a family he got to make and love all his own. He’s still a heartthrob, still suave and such, but he feels more in his own skin about it. He doesn’t need to look good for cameras he just needs to look good for Brandy and she loves him no matter what

As someone whos overweight it makes me feel SO GOOD to see "the hearthrob" still be considered to be super attractive after gaining weight. There was no weight gain jokes at his expense, nada. Everyone took one look at him and was like: damn! And thats what I love! I was a lot like him, in my teen years I was super skinny but after 18 Ive gained some 50 pounds since.
