I finally met Bruce Gilmore in person at the 2024 Gear Jammer show. Bruce has been trucking his whole life and told me some great stories about his career. Check it out!

One thing Bruce (my dad) didn't mention about why he had such a long and successful career is because he always had the most immaculate rig in the fleet. Did a lot of his own maintenance and kept his truck spotless, detailed, and running great at all times. In case you couldn't tell, trucking was more than just a job for him! Thanks for this video!

Thank you so much for adding this. Sounds like you are real proud of your Dad and you definitely should be. Hope he enjoyed this like I did.

Really enjoyed this interview with Bruce, really seems like a salt of the earth type of guy. A old school good sort trucker. Very interesting listening to the stories of back in the golden era days of trucking. Sweet ole freightliner too. Thankyou to both of you👍

Great gentleman, great truck! The company my uncle worked for bought a double-bunk K100 back in the day. 425 Cat, 4:11 rears. It was everyone’s favorite because it would do 75 mph 24/7. The rest of the fleet was single-bunk COE “White” Freightliners with 350 Cummins.

I love the old cabover FreightShakers, my Pops drove alot of them when i was growing up & the last truck he drove was a cabover Freightliner. Lots of good memories! Thanks for the videos of old school drivers & cabovers !

Jarrels. Yeah, we handled everything. Pallets stayed in the warehouses and customers. I was having this discussion with some people the other day. Even local peddling. "" High and tight"". Stacked in the trailer. But, most of the trucks could, would run. Some, better than others. Good interview with a driver who doesn’t recognize his legendary talent and experience that he is too humble to talk about. Caboose was at the back of the line, but always in sight. God bless and safe travels.

I believe in the ‘70s any Freightliner COE with more than 350 hp got the Powerliner treatment.
