If he always knew that shed go is the train a gas lighting abandoning trajectory while she runs from something else. Is the Mandoline rain the only time she pops up? Because there has to be both a discussion about this type behavior at some point. "I think about her when I hear that whistle blow." Somebody has to repeat this toxic ambivalent cycle. Meek humility finds as much self worth as it does responsibility and purpose. Someone has to go as she turns to gold.

Reminds me leaving my sycamore place when sheriffs said I had to leave after the sale and I cried in the snow. Sheriff said don't worry you will come back and move it all out they can't keep your possessions I said are you sure ,he said it's my right to move everything out as long hours as it takes on move out day. The real called the man who bought the attorney and he no way don't give her more than 15 minutes on move out day. Sheriff said it was against the law. But we couldn't get the realtor to bug. He was doing Johns work with the klan help ! Now you know

I remember my stepdad and his friends taking us to see Bruce Hornsby when I was older. It was a small outdoor concert but I didn't realize they were going to try to sneak in. So when it got dark everyone sort of dwindled inside separately. I was somehow scuttled down a certain row and I literally ended up like 3 feet from the stage as this song began. I will never forget the tears instantly streaming down my face. I remembered this song vividly from childhood, we moved around so much, there was a lot of loss for me growing up and not a lot of money to indulge in anything like a live concert. I think the moment seemed so surreal like you couldn't explain what that song did for me in that moment.

The nostalgia that comes with this one. Going out to dinner with my parents some rainy friday night. Soft Rock radio spilling out these gems that i would always remember. Summer afternoons with VH1 on as my mom would iron clothes with the windows open wide. Its not just about the 80s. They were like no other time. But also, Its about being young in a world surrounded by the things and people who will become the very core of who you are. The memories and innocence. The songs you didnt know would mean so much. The ones you listen to over and over again at 41. Music is my time travel. I put this one on and im back home, away from everything. Safe. Loved. Beautiful

Oh yes. It was about five years ago when I heard this song playing in a McDonald’s, and it was the first time I had heard it in about 10 years. It immediately made me nostalgic for the times this song played on family road trips (which is saying something because I hate road trips). I realized that I wasn’t listening to an ordinary song, but a masterful message of accepting heartache.

This song is about heartbreak and finding solace in music. The lyrics describe a person going through a difficult breakup, feeling the pain of lost love. The mention of "mandolin rain" might symbolize the healing power of music during tough times. Even though the rain is falling, music, like the sound of a mandolin, offers comfort and a way to cope with sadness. This song reminds us that in our lowest moments, music can be a source of emotional support and can help us navigate the storms of life.

The money bubbles up to the lowest common denominator, for the most part. Don't get me wrong, I actually think lots of musicians that get hate today put out some good music. But some of the most popular music today doesn't rely on people learning actual songwriting, singing, and instrument mastery. What a shame, because there could be a tremendous renaissance of pop songs if more kids went back to their roots.
