@@indieA Sure i will check other videos as well.... I have read many books by Jiddu Krishnamurti and i am a big fan of Bruce Lee, so when i saw the thumbnail i immediately clicked and thought that it would just be a normal video. But i was blown away by the fact that you did not made this video randomly. You knew about the philosophies and ideas of "K" and how beautifully you have related it to Bruce Lee's philosophy. "The observor is the observed" was the most difficult idea or concept for me to understand ever, but you have explained it simply and effectively.
@indieA4 жыл бұрын
The Observer is the Observed is complex and non-intuitive. That’s why it’s hard to internalise. What we can learn from Vajrayana Buddhism is that if you can find an application that helps you reach a spiritual goal through practice, you can internalise the unspeakable. Martial Arts is one such application. The Shaolin Monks and the Kalaripayuttu practitioners got this. As did Yogis. As did Bruce Lee. That’s the man’s genius.

For the sake of simplicity, unfulfilled wanting can still be categorised as ‘wanting!’ But you’re not wrong at all. What west has that india doesn't is the use of brain to its maximum potential. We country who is afraid to think because then we will be insecure, we want to be secure in our own illusions. Only Krishnamurti can help india to think rationally. after that it is our job to live life. But before that we need to have a common language, as english is very mature language both in terms of mind and matter, we can use this medium. What we first need in India is a common language to communicate the ideas, first we have to take care of the brain and force the man to think for himself. But we have serious hurdle of communication which is common language. It is necessity of survival, before we can do anything in this country. Our brain is so rotted, that you see hopelessness in society, the dirtiness, poverty, all are result of brain thinking. That is why Krishnamurti work is so important as it is founded on nature intelligence, not all the isms, He will make man scientific which means he will make man to careful study the nature in a objective attitude. Modern world is create by man ability to think rationally, scientifically and use that knowledge into creating technology. The only hope for India is the unification of common language, when it is done, everything will be easy. Because of the unification of culture and language, the west is so much ahead of us. Because of optimum utilization of brain thought power.

MMA is just trying to use Bruce Lee's name. MMA is a brutal profit-driven business that has underpaid its fighters. Martial artists learned many techniques since the beginning. In the military, they train in many different techniques from the beginning. It's up to the person to decide how much he wants to learn.
@indieA4 жыл бұрын
Fighters being underpaid is a recent phenomenon. The meteoric rise of the sport has pitted it against Boxing- and the purses it’s promotions offer fighters vis a vis MMA. UFC has corporatised the sport with shit pay down the food chain for sure. But in the good old days of Pride, Strikeforce and even Affliction, fighters got paid what the sport deserved at the time. But MMA is just a sport. Real world techniques in combat and warfare are at a different level. Even Bruce Lee’s philosophy to a large extent is nullified in that regard.

The earliest forms of martial arts trace back to Africa

@srirammithra4 жыл бұрын
Every martial art has it roots to Kalari, it was founded by Lord Parashurama who was in turn trained by Adiyogi Supreme Lord Mahadev Shiva. Even modern day Shaolin Kungfu was formed based on teachings of Indian Buddhist monk Bodhidharma(who himself was trained in Kalari) who travelled to China to spead Buddhism.
@indieA4 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Shaolin Kungfu had multiple sources of inspiration but the influence of Kalari could definitely have been significant. Bodhidharma was instrumental in not just the propagation of Chan Buddhism but also his martial art as well. But it is not accurate to call out that all martial arts have their roots in Kalari. Lexbogie1 has a point about many martial arts having their roots in Africa like the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira.

"Bruce Lee from my point of view had no near understanding of K's teaching. All Bruce Lee did was make an absurd and silly adaptation and copy of K's teaching to martial arts (the origin of martial arts is preparing the ground for hatred and violence); with this, the only thing that Lee contributes and does is literally damage and destroy himself. Therefore, this has or does not contain any relation to the original teaching of K. Perhaps, what Bruce Lee did is the clearest example of human stupidity and folly when the use of hatred and violence is made a misunderstood art. "
@indieA4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching and commenting. You have an interesting point of view though we don’t necessarily agree with it. K’s teachings are universal in that they can be applied to any element along the broad spectrum of human experiences. Bruce Lee’s interpretation was with respect to his dogma of martial arts. The same philosophy has been distilled through time with many like Conor Mcgregor swearing by it. Now your assertion that martial arts are preparing the ground for hatred and violence is most likely inaccurate if not downright false at all to begin with. Martial Arts evolved as a defensive play against the predatory malevolence prevalent in the world (not in the least from humans themselves). Whether you like it or not, fighting to protect and survive is the oldest game in the natural world; it’s no wonder that it is considered the oldest sport in human cultures. Hatred and violence may be present but it is a human projection. Ultimately, being a warrior entails you to be a philosophical spiritualist as well- because war and near death experiences sets you up to face the darker realms of human consciousness where one must contend with one’s shadow replete with malevolence. This ensures a Jungian rounding off of the human psyche in many ways, and a martial artist can use his violent art to further spiritual enlightenment. K’s teachings don’t prescribe a necessary path or ideal to attain truth but martial arts will definitely get you there. Cheers.
@indieA4 жыл бұрын
Crossover fights were very rare those days. Opinions about personalities then are sadly nothing but opinions. You’re not wrong about him never having fought professionally. But one can’t deny his scale of influence on the current crop of martial artists and fighters. And this will continue for the coming generations as well given how MMA is growing and how the sport’s promotions and fighters speak highly about Bruce Lee as an inspiration.
@vijaysimhareddypalvai4 жыл бұрын
@Hysen Berisha you see, why does it matter if someone had some kind of fight! Bruce Lee wanted to make martial arts popular on first note. Through K’s teachings, he might have learned and adapted some ways.
