I was spokesperson for the Bruce Lee Museum in Hollywood, CA. (1980's) This is the same story Linda Lee (Bruce's widow) and Norman Boreen, founder of the museum shared with me. The Hollywood movie depicting this fight was not the real deal, this video is!!!!!

Yes! The author of the book interviewed EVERYONE from the fight except the ones that were obviously deceased before the making of this book

Understand especially for that time period, it was important not to “Lose Face” for those who had social standing. Being humiliated, would cause you many social problems in the small but growing Asian community. I heard a slightly shorter narrative of this story from SF State University math professor Rick Wing, who inherited Wong Jackman‘s San Francisco studio, many years ago, when we bumped into each other at the Target store in Colma, south of Daly City. We stood chatting in an empty aisle for almost an hour.

This was an awesome and well told story. A true story and Better than T.V. I wonder what is the story for why these two came to fight in the first place. I heard a story that it had something to do with an encounter Bruce Lee had at a Tai Chi school and had absolutely nothing to do with Bruce Lee's decision to touch none Chinese Gong Fu.

Supposedly it’s said that Linda filmed it, but nobody came forward. During filming of Enter the Dragon, co-star Ahna Capri filmed a challenge between an extra and Bruce. She said she has it but she died in a car accident, where or who has it!!!??

I have worked with one man who was outright arrogant and told others they were no good. He did ask me why I would work with him when no one else would. I simply answered " you're as good as you say". But, one day he made a major mistake an when I saw it i just smiled. After that he never critized me or others. All I had to do was smile.

This story is bs. A long time ago, in Black Belt magazine, the real story was presented. Bruce tried to seriously poke Wong Jack Man in the throat and Wong Jack Man who knew both hard and soft stules, deflected partially and placed Jun Fsn in a headlick. After about 4 minutes, Wong Jack Man let Jun Fan go. Bruce once again tried a series of strikes, and Sifu Wong Jack Man simply put Jun Fan in a headlock again. Eventually, both agreed to gove it a rest. Jun Fan was very angry, saying the fight had onlt lasted about five minutes when it went on for almost half-an-hour. After this, Bruce developed Jeet Kune Do further. Bruce had gone to Waegwan-dong and stidied Tang Soo Do Mu Duk Kwan from my instructor. My instructor was also proficient in Hapkido. Bruce was extremely gifted and very well-mannered. Chinese friends of mine from Gkendale and San Francisco said Bruce was very arrogant and would even do crunches when being dined by the Chinese business owners.

I was told this story by a Kung Fu Grandmaster Sifu David Chin. He told me that HE actually was supposed to fight Lee and would have beaten him. Sifu Chin was amazing in multiple Kung Fu styles. Hop Gar, Hung Gar, Choi Lei Fut, Tai Chi..and probably a few more.
