If Vince had had his way Austin would've been stuck as a mid card mechanic, Taker wouldn't have been hired, Foley wouldn't have been hired, but Mable would've been the damn WWF champion. And yet Vince is a genius...

The genius of Vince McMahon was surrounding himself with the right wrestling people to cover for his shortcomings on that end and being a ruthless businessman. He was also the boss of everybody. Think of Vince as wrestling Dr. Dre. Dre needed ghostwriters and other producers to work as a team for his stuff. But he was the main guy, the orchestrator, the guy making the tough decisions at the end of the day and he knew who to get to fill in the blanks and how to draw that extra something special out of somebody.

Look at how Foley walks today - like a 90-year old man. Everyone saw this coming. THAT is why Vince didn’t like his work. You don’t seem to get it. Or you’re 13-years old and haven’t figured out that wrestling is fake, yet.
@FarajiCouncil6 күн бұрын
@@claytron3000 you literally just contradicted yourself if wrestling is fake then Mick wouldn't be walking around with injuries dumbass. So clearly you don't get it. And Mick only problem was not staying retired after the triple h hiac he's even said that if anything he should have retired after the Orton match. If not the triple h one. So Mick has himself to blame. Vince wasn't as much of a genius outside of Hogan and taker just about every single other top star was someone else's idea or the talent themselves idea that got them over.

Judging by how Mick Foley is pushing 60 and can barely walk, because of the crazy bumps he took, he isn't that bright.

@NickTaylorRickPowers10 күн бұрын
Hulk Hogan's in the same position physically and worked completely opposite to Foley's So I'm not saying Foley's style is inherently less risky but either way a bump is a bump and if nothing is broken it really is all the same

He is a father and family man, he won't regret the injuries because he has provided a solid foundation for his family. Thus does not make him stupid, quite the opposite.

Mick retired at 34 because he essentially couldn’t do it anymore. Guess who’s 34 right now? Montez Ford. Adam Cole. Andrade. Iyo. The Young Bucks. Jd Mcdonagh. Hmm, I wonder if they were right about Mick?

Let’s not forget in 1991-1992 Vince McMahon failed to do anything with these top guys in the wwf at the same time: RIC FLAIR KERRY VON ERICH HULK HOGAN LOD RICKY STEAMBOAT SID JUSTICE JAKE ROBERTS RANDY SAVAGE RODDY PIPER THE UNDERTAKER KAMALA ULTIMATE WARRIOR
And the Steiner brother's. They had the best technical tag team and didn't know how to use them. So they went back to WCW.
@stepheneldridge36375 күн бұрын
I hate the defend Vince, but in 1992, basically no company in wrestling was making money. Those talents were definitely wasted, but I'm not sure anyone else would have done better during that time period.

Taking Foley from ECW in many ways is the start of the attitude era. They'd not have brought him in a few years earlier with doink and Duke the Dumpster Drosy.
