Been to two live concerts with Bruce, this is his best live performance of all time- all the timings and the tempo in this song is perfectly made and performed. Going to Atlantic City is now on my bucket list.

Was at the concert. Great concert. Close to the stage. Ended with ” Thank you Stockholm you are the greatest as always. The best shows Bruce did in Sweden was 2 nd and 3 rd of July 1988. A tour that ended in Camp Nou in Barcelona in from of more than 90 000 people. Off course on the same tour Bruce played the most important concert or musical event ever made: The East Berlin Concert in front of 500 000 people, ehere he short speach as a vengance against The East German government about hopping that the Wall would come tumbling down did more than every other speach together Held in West Berlin to Bring the Berlin Wall down. The speaches in West Berlin was never heard in East Germany so they did nothing for The people of East Germany. Springsteens speach was Held in the musklerna of East Berlin in front of 500 000 youths and many millions more watching the concert on Tv. It was the biggest gathering of people in East German history, not only that it was the biggest traffic jam in East German history the day of the concert. People who had Waited for 12 years to be able to buy a car from the state just left their cars at the road to leave for the Springsteen concert. 165 000 tickets sold out immidiately at s price of 20 East German marks which for the East Berliners was 4 months of public transportation. The equivalent of 400 Euros today in Europe. When the Word was out that the tickets had sold out something happened that never happen in stricy communistic countries : 340 000 people gate crash the site and test down all fences. Police estimated that there were 500 000 people the concert and many more millions watching it on tv, it was Said that noone in the ages 18 to 45 was unaware of the concert. Many people went as far as wasing home made ZuS flags. Sonetimg completely forbidden in East Germany. 2 months after the concert the president Of East Germany Erik Honecker resigns. 15 months later the Berlin Wall was gone. The only reason that Bruce Held the speach was because he saw a concert ticket where it Said ” Bruce Springsteen a concert for Nisuaragua ” a Communist country then instead of ” Bruce Springsteen Tunnel of Love Express tour ”. This was a regular Concert on the tour and though Springsteen was the highest paid musician in the world with 1 million UDD a concert guarantee he gave East Berlin a rebate and only charged 1 340 000 East German marks which he as a superstar could change into 1 340 000 West German marks. Besides giving East Berlin the best Concert of the whole tiur they had never ever heard anyone oppose the Government and that was the start of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

I love this man, he never forgot where he came from, he fought hard to become was he is now, his songs pay tribute to the common people, god bless him for that. I will see him next month in my home town in Germany, I know already it's going to be an emotional and joyful experience that only him can give, it will be the 7th time I see him and he never disapointed me. That song Streets of Philadelphia is a masterpiece of sheer humanity.

Atlantic City and the River always makes me really cry!saw it once live and i'll never ever foget his 100%he gave his energy and his great love to perform on stage!! and surely his voice AMAZING MAN THAT IS THE TEAL BOSS OF THE USA cause he always stand at the good side and open his eyes and mind for the poor ,restless homeless and all things going totaly wrong in america!!! One of my favs ever!!!
