it's because he's from jersey. like me. and the misfits. and the bouncing souls. and catch 22. and streetlight manifesto. etc. brian baker, who has played guitar for bad religion for 30+ years, has even chosen to live in jersey for the past decade or so. they are all fans of bruce.

You're right and the best concert I've ever been to has been Springsteen and it wasn't even at his height. I couldn't imagine seeing him in the 80s. I tell people that if you don't like Springsteen then go watch him live. You may still not like his music but I think you'll understand why people do. He's an absolute fireball and sexeh as fuck.

Yes, sir. You should have seen him live. Springsteen and the E Street Band is essential concert viewing. Tremendous. Live music doesn’t getter any better than this.

You should check out The Yawpers "Burdens". Very heavily influenced by Born to Run, but I think it surpasses it.
