Great song. I loved the glory days. The 70's and 80's was such a great time to grow up. Best music ever created. I'd live those decades over 1,000 times if I could.

Love Bruce Springsteen and the E street band. They always seem to be having a good time. He did a song about my hometown of Youngstown Ohio called Youngstown. It's about the collapse of the steel mill industry. The song hits me hard because I was just about to graduate high school and would be heading towards the mills for work, but when it came time there were no jobs.

“The River” and “Rosalita (Come out Tonight)” are my two favorites by Bruce. Completely opposite ends of the spectrum, one is slow and sad, the other is energetic and upbeat. Both masterpieces.

I didn't realize how great school was until I dropped out when I was 16. I had no idea I'd never see most of those people again. It's just something you don't realize. We moved. After being out of school and working a job that would get me know where I went back to high school at 18 and graduated when I was 20. It meant so much more the last two years. I enjoyed every minute of it.

My glory days were/are spent going to Springsteen concerts. First one in 1977, most recent one was this year. With about 2 dozen concerts in between

I think we'd all like to go back to the glory days of the 70's & 80's of rock music, when our favourite bands were still young, hungry & at their peak. Old father time can do one 😆

I grew up in Freehold New Jersey (Bruce's hometown) that being said till this day he'll pop in unannounced and randomly jam with local bands playing at the bars throughout The Jersey Shore Still lives in New Jersey Works out in my friend's regular gym Not everyone agrees with his politics ( Bruce just sshhh) he's one of the few that didn't let Fame and Fortune change him His concerts are over 3 hours of pure energy

THE RIVER and FIRE are two of his most atmospheric songs. There is a live version of THE RIVER (LA Coliseum)😅 where he has a long monologue before the song about his relationship with his father that will reduce you to tears.

Speaking of glory days, I used to have a mixed tape that had this song on it followed by Billy Joel's- keeping the faith. My friends and I would make tapes by adding a song and passing to the next person to add another. The catch was they had to somehow connect to the last song. I didnt add either song but who ever did thought long and hard and added keeping the faith because of a line in it that goes" Cause the good ole days weren't always good And tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems" Havent heard either of these song's in a long time.

The women in the white pants and red hair, is Bruce Springsteen's wife, although i don't think she was at that time. He was married once before to a model/actress Julienne Phillips I think was her name. However, he Patty had more in common, music, music.

Saeed I recommend for you Bruce's Darkness on The Edge of Town, the 1978 title track of maybe his most underrated album. Dark, foreboding, reflective and passionate with some deep lyrics that you should thoroughly enjoy 👍

Remember him doing this song on the last episode of David Letterman's first late-night show before he switched networks. It was a big deal because Bruce didn't really do a lot of TV and Dave was a total fan. Bruce jumped up on Paul Shaffer's piano for the big finish. It was great.

Great reaction. I like this one because it’s fun. It’s got meaning, but it’s not too heavy. For a Brice suggestion, I always recommend Rosalita (Come out Tonight) Live in Phoenix 1978. The album version is great, too. But Bruce was/is known for putting on a great live show, so the live one gives us an idea of what it was like.

Electric Guitar, A Fender Stratocaster to be exact. That's where it's at... especially if it's finger-picked. Here is someone playing lead in the style of Mark Knopfler, mixed with the original track from Dire Straits on 'Down to the Waterline'. This guy isn't Knopfler, but he's damn good and you get to watch how it's done! I've suggested 'Wild West End' to you, Saeed (studio version, if you ever do), but it's going to take a tune that others will chime in on and say "Oh Yeah!! That's a great one by Dire Straits!" to get a response from you. So, fellow Saeed fans, watch this Dylan Guitar solo and then chime in on how great this song by Dire Straits with Saeed, and perhaps he'll bite on it, then maybe my 'Wild West End' request! Which, if you like 'Down to the Waterline', you'll probably like 'Wild Wet End'. 😏😼 kzbin.info/www/bejne/i16cnqqXnaaVfNEsi=gkkutAQOZNhE6sli

I never saw this video before but I loved the song because I was a baseball player in college. I'm about half glad I never saw the video because the throwing mechanics might have ruined the song for me. (jk) My favorite Springsteen song is Youngstown. It's a blue collar anthem of sorts.
