I can’t show you on camera, for copyright reasons!!” Now, the Muppets crew know that Miss Piggy did _not_, in fact, arrive in Gotham that night, to physically and mentally break the Joker for kidnapping her boyfriend. But the show must go on. At least until Bruce Wayne appears on the show to explain that of course he isn’t Batman. *”Batman” (actually Superman wearing Batman’s costume) flies past the window. Bruce waves.* He borrowed the suit, of course! Just helping out Gotham’s Knight! No it's not after the identity is revealed. It's one movie later, and made entirely playing off "the butts match" with everyone (Bruce included) having good laughs at the idea of BRUCE WAYNE of all people being Batman. Throughout the movie, "Bruce-Batman" talks in a Lego Batman style voice and is clearly a joke. It's considered one of the greatest Muppet movies because "Batman" treats himself like a muppet, while Bruce treats the muppets like actors, giving viewers similar muppet/human interactions as both Treasure Island AND Christmas Carol.

But this is meant to be a movie within Batman canon. Within that universe, nobody knows there’s any connection between Batman and Bruce Wayne beyond what city they live in, so there’d be no reason for there to be a Batman subplot.

That's what makes it even better when out of the blue, while visiting Gotham City explicitly to see Bruce Wayne, Gonzo somehow gets caught up in a full Batman subplot *for no reason*. The only explanation for why the writers thought of it is because Batman is a symbol of Gotham City, and no one ever considers that there's more to this Muppet movie than meets the eye.

The part where Miss Piggy was upset about Kermit only caring about the show seems Jim hensoness? Like I don't know much about the guy's history, but he was always doing his best to create a new movie, a new tv show, a new thing. He kept going and going and going, even as it caused some friction between him and his wife. But in the end, they do love/care for each other, and thus support each other. His wife's eye for talent is why Jim had many amazing muppeteers with him as he got off the ground.

If you played it right this could work great for him. He can play Bruce Wayne really goofy as batman. A goofy 1960s Batman that gets distracted by women too easily to fight crime effectively. He struts around uncoordinated and too Hammy. Everyone sees this on camera and thinks he looks ridiculous. Even does a couple of post-production interviews with him wielding the cowl, explaining how it's so much fun to be the Batman. While at a charity event to promote him playing the Batman for the movie, somebody tries to commit a crime nearby and he doesn't want to look bad in front of the children so he attempts to pursue that guy and gets beat up pretty bad. The news goes wild about him looking ridiculous trying to actually be the Batman. He does the news interview where he denounces vigilantism once again after his experience and vows to push for better policies to reduce the crime in Gotham. The culture surrounding the incident with solidify him as still always the good guy Playboy philanthropist, who got a little in over his head during his first ever acting gig on the Silver Screen, who definitely is Batman but also definitely isn't "the" Batman.

You know what makes this funnier? In Justice League Unlimited, there’s a lot of very unsubtle hinting at Bruce and Wonder Woman having romantic feelings for one another. In one episode, Circe turns Diana into a pig to spite Diana’s mother and Bruce spends the entire episode trying to help her change back. I can’t help but imagine she’d tease him like crazy over this.

I understand what you mean, but the show that helped me really, really remember they are the same person, Batman Beyond. You see an old Bruce Wayne, reluctantly training a new Batman. If you love the 1990's Batman cartoon, the Justice League shows, I highly recommend Batman Beyond.

I actually really _don't_ like the idea of a Deadpool x Muppets crossover, like, there are a lot of Marvel characters who'd work really well, Spiderman is an especially great option, but Deadpool, especially the MCU version, is too raunchy to really work with the child-friendly nature of the Muppets. Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, Antman, and probably a few others would be really great, but not Deadpool, they'd have to _really_ tone down the character.

@jacobbissey9311 I think Ganzoo and his rat and chicken friends would be great for a short adventure. Ganzo loves being shot out of a cannon. Most the the rats break the 4th wall. Remember the Muppets Treasure Island movie? That level of darkness works well with PG-13 Deadpool. Imagine Deadpool being shot out the cannon, while Ganzo is annoyed that Deadpool cuts in line for the Cannon. The rats and Chickens are playing with Jeff the Shark. Bribing Jeff to play catch, with all the food they stole.

I think Bruce would be a lot more relaxed & glad because the only time he's seen this kind of puppet skills is with the criminal The Ventriloquist with Scarface (Maybe Kermit has to rescue the theater from him?). In fact in TheBatman(04) cartoon, Albert Wesker had a new rehab puppet named Mr Snoots. Snoots tragically gave his life in stopping Scarface. But he was very obviously a reference to Kermit.

Are Poison Ivy and Harley Quin dating in this story? Because think about it. Ivy hears the Muppets need a clown act or something, and she immediately thinks "I'd better call my girlfriend." Harley shows up with a bunch of other ex villains she knows, all determined to help the Muppets put on a great show. The villain who's trying to stop the show is revealed to be The Joker, and Harley tells him off because "It's over! I've moved on! I may have told you that I love The Muppets, but that's no reason to take out your frustration about the break up on them!" And hits The Joker with a comically oversized hammer. Gonzo immediately requests to be launched by the same hammer as part of the show.

Just so everyone is aware, with the reference to Muppets take manhattan, that would mean this interview is taking place in 1984. so the "puppeteers" are two men probably older than Bruce, Kermit obviously being voiced by the Legendary Jim Henson, and Miss Piggy is voiced by Frank Oz. Also he absolutely would've been able to talk to all four members of the act, puppeteers included, they were very skilled at that.
