Just for clarification.....Bruces illness is DIFFERENT. He can NOT come back from it. This is a degenerative disease. With dementia, things only get worse. And progressively worse. As in- it continues to deteriorate more and more with each passing day. And every day it worsens more aggressively than the day before. Oh my gosh, poor Bruce. Dang. Such a wonderful person to eveyone. This is so NOTcool. I want to race to him & upon arrival, cure him ! (Me to God: Why does this hurt me SO MUCH ??? And why God. Why does this have to occur to good people ?) Boy i sure look forward to looking HIM in the eyes while HE explains it to me.

Aphasia is not a disease in and of itself just the inability to speak or communicate effectively. It can come with Parkinson's, a stroke, or dementia (Alzheimers, Lewy Body dementia, which can come with hallucinations). It's neurological. The dementia diagnosis was inevitable. Aphasia is a symptom; caused by a few different types of brain injuries/disorders/diseases. Now his diagnosis has been changed. Not aphasia, he is suffering from Fronto-Temporal Dementia (FTD). It hasn’t been an easy road so far. Not every case unravels the same, many different scenarios that can even lead to a change in diagnosis if the symptoms change, which is why no diagnosis is ever 100% until after death. With not much info out there, once you start having enough symptoms that point in that direction, they slap a diagnosis on you and send you on your way. Like Bruce, my mom is 67 and had some of the earliest signs showing up around 2013, but wasn’t diagnosed until July of 2021. Prayers to Bruce and his family, and to someday finding a cure. What Bruce Willis has is most likely expressive aphasia, while the example you included in the video is a conversation with a person with receptive aphasia. They are both results of a damage to a brain part called Broca's area, which controls the production of speech, but they are very different in practice. To put it simply, expressive aphasia is an inability to find words. The person suffering from it speaks very slowly, their vocabulary is limited, and often they need to help themselves with hand gestures, but what they eventually communicate is recognizable. Receptive aphasia is much worse and tragic. The ill person is able to produce words but is not able to control if what they say is what they wanted to say. They will speak with full sentences but the words in those sentences will be as if they opened a dictionary at a random page and just picked something up. So, their communication abilities are reduced - other people can't understand them. I can't say that it's fortunate that Bruce Willis has expressive aphasia, but it's certainly the less severe one of the two.

There are a handful of actors when you see their names, you just know it’s going to be a good movie. Bruce is one of those. He has brought so much entertainment joy to so many of us and we will miss seeing him on the silver screen, however my heart truly hurts for him as a fellow human being. In 2006, I had a very bad mental breakdown due to an assault by 4 men. For the first year I could not control my state of mind. I was plagued with incessant rocking, crying, and repeating, “God, please help me.” The doctors pumped me full of all sorts of meds hoping that one might work for me. None did. Valium was my only respite and it was also the only time that my family didn’t have to hear me suffering. Healing came very slow and It would take another 5 years to feel like my old self, but still, periodically, I’d have a short set back. I’m 10 years past that point now and although I’m almost my old self, I’m still vulnerable to certain triggers. I understand that my mental breakdown was something that I recovered from and unless some new treatment comes around, Bruce is likely always going to have this, but the point that I’m trying to make is that until mental illness strikes you, you have no idea of just how terrible it is. I’ve had some pretty bad things happen to me medically, but I can tell you that without a doubt, having a screwed up mind far outweighed any of those. Today, I am a mental illness advocate. I’ve seen the way that our mentally challenged are treated both in and out of mental facilities. I have walked that mile and when you have been diagnosed with any type of mental illness and you draw the wrong nurse, you’re in big trouble. Nothing you say is taken into consideration. You can’t object, you can’t complain, you can’t refuse your medications, you go to bed when you are told, get up when you are told, eat what you are told, and if you don’t participate in all of the little group sessions, you are resisting what they know is best for you and God help you if you should in anyway find your voice. I’m praying that Bruce will hang in there for a lot longer. From watching the gentleman in this video, he seemed happy and oblivious to his actual illness. That in itself is somewhat of a blessing. On the other hand, if you’re cognizant of what you’re saying, but just delayed, that would probably be the best case scenario. Anyway it goes, I believe that Bruce will receive the best of care and I sincerely pray for the best for him. If you are someone who struggles with mental health issues, I pray also for you and if you know of someone with mental health problems, please, please be patient and kind to them. After all, we are our brother’s keepers.

It was such a long and cruel process to watch happen but our family managed to give her around the clock care at my aunt's home & we would all take turns staying with them to prevent caregiver burnout & putting her in a home was the LAST thing we would have let happen, if we could help it. There were signs in the early days of her disease. But it really hit us hard when we witnessed her quilting for hours, but there was no thread in her needle. Such a small detail that had a very profund meaning. I have one of the last quilts she ever worked on and I still look at and run my fingers over all the missed stitches.

The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north. In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin" The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind" The sun is "The light of the World" The sun "walks on water" is just the reflection of the sun on water/the sea. "He cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him", is just sun rays. Jesus' "crown of thorns" is just the sun's glare, also know as a halo. The sun's "followers", "helpers" or "disciples" are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass. The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the "Most High": thus.."he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12. The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30 degrees, hense, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30. The sun is hung on a cross or "crucified", which represents its passing through the equinoxes. The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected. The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe. In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun throug the heavens.

@@Gamefan86 This person wishes Bruce Willis and his family the best and you come in and try to tear down their hope? Bravo. I pray you would continue to seek the Lord. He loves you. There’s more to him then just a sky man. He gives us eternal hope. Jesus walked this earth. He’s not a made up myth. It makes no sense to connect the Jewishness of Jesus with such beliefs. There’s no evidence at all to suggest the gospels would have been made up on the basis of such mythology. Just because there’s a co-relation of Christ to the sun, doesn’t mean he’s a made up figure based on the sun. That could just mean when we look at the rising of the sun(which God created) for example it can be viewed as a metaphor to Christ. The sun does light the world yes. And just as the sun lights the world Christ is the light of the world. The doesn’t falsify anything. This was the second I AM statement(claim to divinity) by Christ. So on the contrary this statement by Christ points further to his divinity. Plus why would the disciples have dedicated their lives to this belief and died for it if the made it up? You don’t die for what you know is a lie.

It wasn't too long ago before the announcement that Willis was retiring from acting that I'd been speaking with my sister, and we were talking about good movies to stream. She suggested a couple of movies, one had Bruce Willis, and I remember saying, "..its probably not going to be any good, haven't you noticed that Bruce Willis' movies lately have been really, really bad? It's like.. what happened, who's picking the scripts for him now." Then about a couple of months after that conversation came the news about the aphasia diagnosis.. It was then I thought, "no wonder." Prayers for Bruce Willis.

Very similar to what my Mom was diagnosed with & she started showing signs at SIXTY SEVEN as well, it was like little things & out of the blue. She had PSP, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, almost identical to Willis’s FTD Aphasia. ♥︎ If your 65+ year old parents start to trip more easily, watch how they fall. If they do not use their arm to break the fall THATS A SIGN of an Aphasia Brain Illness. If they suddenly seem to be opening their eyes extremely wide when looking at you while you talk or if you ask them a question, that’s a sign. Normally quite people will shout out a thought that’s in their head, not realizing the volume or that they blurted out loudly a private thought. Crying for no reason. The will start to hunch or even walk crooked, shuffling their feet without knowing it. Their laughter will be louder & sometimes inappropriate. Hear things in the middle of the night like a knock at the door, banging on the wall or other loud noises, my mom used to try & investigate these. ♥︎ I hope this helps people get a faster response to a doctor’s care, there’s no cure & I hope you find a way to keep your parents home. Care isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. ❤

Wow, learning of Bruce Willis’s condition, and I just realized my grandma likely had Aphasia, unless this is a symptom of Alzheimer’s. She talked exactly like the guy in the green shirt. She could talk, but it was just completely random words. I remember one night my daughter asked her great-grandma to put her to bed. I stood in the doorway and watched. My daughter, 4 at the time, asked her, “Grandma, why did you say blah blah blah earlier?” My grandma just looked at her stumbling her words and said, “I don’t know”. It was truly heartbreaking to watch. My 4-year-old daughter knew something was wrong with Grandma. What an insidious disease.

But at the very least, he gave some oomf to these lower level movies, by lending his presence and Image to the production. I'm sure that he helped these small budget movies find some audience in the direct to DVD And redbox market. Bruce's presence allowed these low budget endeavors To get some notoriety and visibility. And the Actresses and actors in them to Work with a bonafide yet fallen, star. Good for him. Rock on Bruce, I grew up with you since Die Hard. and best of luck.

A speech therapist explained it well, she explained all of your knowledge is contained in a file cabinet, but someone has taken the cabinet and knocked it over, scattering everything all over to where there is total disorganization. The knowledge is still there, but it's disordered. There can be some recovery, but each case is different. No one has said what the origin of Bruce's aphasia is? Did he have a stroke? Was there some head trauma involved? Aphasia is not a new disorder, and common after strokes. When a famous person falls victim to it - the public has a first hand look; so I suspect Willis agreed to his family making it public. Life changes with aphasia, and is NEVER the same but there can be communication - just not as an actor. I am sure he'll get the very best therapy and that his loved ones will be able to maintain communication with him.
