How many politicians could stand up to that scrutiny? The Republicans on that committee tried very hard to make anything stick (loans, accusations by Russian stooges, the actions of his son) without success. I’m not an American but if they can’t find something wrong after three years and however many millions of dollars the committee is costing, it appears that Biden is an honest man and even more astonishing an honest politician!

I think that the democrats could have resolved that issue earlier. In general, I have the feeling they are fearful most of all: fearful of losing an election. On the way they seemed to have forgotten that they should be leading the way in a country with the other party descending into fascism. Confidence is everything. Fearing that any decision can cost you some votes is not confidence. Nor is it politics. It is clinging to power with desperation. If a confident Kamala Harris could have dealt with the despicable shambles of the Republicans for a year longer, and the democrats would have thrown a little bit of their power hungry super-rich people over board in favor of people with good policy ideas, they could have blown Trump out of the water. Trump is only as good as the ghouls who see a chance for themselves in case he was elected. He isn't having any generally attractive ideas or personality traits.
