In terms of greatest small forward of all time, I think Bird is actually a more versatile passer than Lebron who likes to massage the ball too long to get his assist. As always Jordan is a totally underrated as a passer. It's amazing how fearless and brilliant he is as a rookie, kind of relentless attacking a very intimidating HOF Boston line up. FUN FACT for the youngsters. There was a Jordan vs Bird video game you can look up. Fun stuff! Thanx for posting!

That was a big win for the Bulls then. Boston did not lose in the Garden back in those days. Man, Jordan was so freaking athletic, holy moly. He was all over the place. Quick like a cat, and fast like a Ferrari. And Bird was a basketball genius. McHale was unstoppable in the low post, we all knew it back then. And Parrish was an excellent center. That Boston front line was one of the best of all time.

Boston's passing, OMG , incredible just not use to seeing that in todays game. Today its like, get a lil pass half court and shoot. That is the epitome of today's game 😂

I mean you are watching a HOF level team, and I think the next year or two is where they're always in the conversation for Greatest of all time teams. Boston in this era does play pure fundamatal basketball, but with next level passing. It is beautiful watch just like the Lakers fastbreak in this ear. Let's not pretend though Golden State or the Tim Duncan Spurs didn't share the ball like this. As for shooting from half court it's because Steph can consistently hit from half court, the problem is other players who can't try to do the same. Lol

This along with the spurs team of the 2000s are honestly the best passing teams ever. Especially in the dribble era.

They pushed the ball up court forget the cute dribbles. LA also. You better get back on defense or be ran out the building.

Man this Boston Celtics team was loaded with great players. I personally have Larry Bird ahead of Lebron James on the GOAT list. Jordan for me offcourse is up at #1. Michael Jordan could do it all. When asked to rebound he would lead his team in rebounding. It was the same thing in the late 80's when they asked Jordan to play point and to bring the ball up the court to distribute and start the offense. With Jordan it really was whatever he chose to do or was asked to do by the coaches based on what his team needed. This includes 3 pointers. Jordan could shoot them at a high % especially in the playoffs. Look at Bird. He could rebound , assist , score from anywhere on the court. Mid range, 3 pointers , and down in the block with his back towards the basket. He wasn't the greatest athlete as far as running very fast or jumping out the gym but his anticipation, reading the court , and basketball IQ usually had him one step ahead of most players in the league.

That Boston team was just so stacked that it's not even fair. I really hated those guys back then but man they could play. And watching these clips now reminds me of the high bball IQ that used to exist in the NBA.

That steal on Bird was great. That highlights yet another one of the MANY parts of MJ's game that was underrated. His hands on defense. Super quick and precise. Led to tons of steals/blocks/disruptions/etc

@@kaspafischer Yeah. It just caught my attention. Because in the future MJ and the Bulls played in the Triangle Offense. It's kind of like how commentators use to use the word "showtime" when a great play was about to happen. So in college highlights when a commentator said showtime towards one of James Worthy's plays it caught my attention-because he would later be crucial to the Showtime Lakers.

This MJ, before he buffed up, was so quick he made everyone else look like they werent hustling. He was just so much quicker than them. He was still fast later on dont get me wrong, but 80's MJ was lightning fast and never turned it off.
