So true... I feel like I lived through the greatest era of rock .. many will say the sixties or seventies were the greatest and I won't argue with them . .I love so much of the music from those eras and I was born in 70 so, I was raised on it.. but,at 14 I had Prince ( he was so young and just plain ultra cool .. I get sad and angry for losing him ).. Billy Idol ( no he's no hall of famer but, who didn't want to be him ..and those videos ).. The Police , U2, Madonna ( she changed how we looked at women, she was a force ..in charge ).... So mAny greats then.. but, Bruce changed my life I'm every sense.. I will never forget the day when I took the money from mowing 2 yards and bought the LP Born In the USA... I can remember the smell of the freshly open record, the static from the cellophane raising the little bit of arm hair I had and when I drop the needed the world exploded ! Bruce has been my guiding light every since... I love rock and roll music .. through songs is how I remember events , like I said there are so many greats and I mean no disrespect but, there can only be one all time great...I'm not saying "greats " I'm saying GREAT..and that without a doubt what so ever is BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE !!

Bruce, the band, this album . . . all of it; a shard of an America that once was. An America that strove in it's own stumbling, failing, and heartbreaking ways for something that was good, true, and beautiful. And maybe can pick up the shattered pieces of what we've become and try again. Vote, America. Vote in such a way as to begin to live up to your own promises and potential. Vote. Now more than ever, vote.

Really blessed to have witnessed Bruce 6 times. Greatest songwriter and entertainer in USA ever. He knows how to capture the audiences heart quickly and never let's go.

Can't think of a better album than this one since "BITUSA"! I think this might be the one when he finally wins The Grammy for "Album of the Year"?!
@32candleberry4 жыл бұрын
He won a Grammy for "The Rising".... and, that's still his best album IMO, but this one is right up there!! :)
@jackmarron97104 жыл бұрын
"The Rising" won for "Best Rock Album of the Year" , not "Album of the Year". And, if you think that's his best album, then I'm not going there.
