I just got this watch, and I don’t know if they have made improvements recently or what, but the bezel action on mine is awesome. Not too stiff, zero play. PERFECT alignment. It actually feels almost identical to the Combat Sub bezel. This thing is awesome. Feels like a much more expensive watch. It hasn’t been mentioned but the almost perfectly flat case back, which is unique, makes it really hug the wrist. I love this thing...

I’m well behind the curve on this watch, but having just bought one, frankly it is extremely nice. If this is what Hamilton turn in for the money, colour me interested. Likely to be one of the few that spend more time worn than in the watch box.
@tomaspiuzanasoalheiro52985 ай бұрын
Yeah, same with me! Just got one despite a lot of negative comments about the bezel and the lack of ISO. I also did prefer this 40mm model than the newer one with 43mm and round markers.

I recently saw this watch at my local jewelry store and I instantly fell in love with it. The way it captures the light, and the feeling on the wrist when I tried it on was superb! I was incredibly surprised to find all the negative comments/reviews on it. I’m glad to see there are some people out there that agree with me!
@kellypaws3 ай бұрын
@@ryanb8719 It's an absolute peach. I wear mine in preference to a Tudor most days. The hate stems for the fact it only has 100m of water resistance which is a bit 'dress diver'. But you know what? I *don't* have 100m of water resistance, so I don't care. There is a little bezel play which isn't brilliant. But it's still my favourite watch.
@philipsdefreville61385 жыл бұрын
I find it interesting that moderately priced SWATCH brands like Hamilton, Certina etc. offer very good value with excellent ETA movements. Then you have expensive brands like IWC, Ulysse Nardin and Hublot using less desirable Selitta movements. Here's something for you to do Bruce. Compare Sellita and ETA movements at a watchmakers with macro shots. My watchmaker does not like Selitta, he claims the plates on Selitta are too thin for riveted parts to hold well in place.

I’ve got one of these! Love the unique looks of it. People complain about the 100M WR. I’ve went swimming multiple times, jumping in pools, hot tub’s, absolutely no issues. The 40mm was the major buying factor for me, as well as the 80hr pwr reserve. I do agree, bezel action is rather stiff.

Much improved over the previous khaki auto scuba in the aesthetics department. But calling it Scuba and it's not ISO rated is a bit of a joke. The previous model was really hard to read in the sun due to the crazy amount of crystal glare and equally as hard to read in the dark because of the pathetic amount (or lack there of) of lume. Had the previous iteration, sold it and do not miss it one bit. Definitely more of a dress diver than anything.

Looking pretty good but how does it compared to a more expensive Oris Diver 65? I had few seikos from 7S26, 4R35 and 6R15 movement and none of them are running accurate. It's so annoying to look at the watch and the cellphone just to make sure my watch are on spot. I love wearing my rolex for accuracy but I need more as accurate daily wear.
@BruceWilliams5 жыл бұрын
Good question. Oris has the nicer bezel action but not by much. I like Oris crystal and bracelet more. The hamilton has a nicer weight, finishing, lume, and more accurate movement. I like the design of the Oris more but no doubt the Hamilton is impressive considering how much less it costs

@@BruceWilliams I heard the H-10 (ETA 2824 modded by hamilton) is dead accurate out of the box. How was your experience with it? 100m water resistance, no luminous pip at 12 clearly makes this a non-diver. Hamilton was lazy in this design. They made it look like a diver and called it Scuba just so they could bank on the diver watch craze. Too bad, it is a nice looking watch that I would never buy.

Well, you know, most people who buy watches don't use them for anything other than the complications, and sometimes not even that. If a functional, highly water resistant dive watch is what you're after, there are many, better, options than a luxury piece.

I'll write this slow because I know those people can't read fast....real divers don't wear mechanical watches in the deep. I hate to be a tire kicker here, but I feel like this Hamilton is showing symptoms of “Swatchitis”. Swatchitis being a watch made by Swatch to intentionally not be as good as it could be, in order to not eat into more expensive models. Yeah, Seiko kneecaps their models, but to me, they feel more unique, and less General Motors-generic.
