Hello to you who are reading, how are you? I have a Word for you. I want to tell you: There is a God who loves you and wants to save you. He already proved his love for you when Jesus died on the cross. This GOD is Love, He is Merciful, He is Good, but also a Holy and Just God. HE has a law, and we cannot obey it, we disobey it and sin, sin is like a crime before God, our sins bring eternal damnation upon us, so we are not innocent before God. But even so, there is hope for us, there is forgiveness for us, because God sent his Son Jesus Christ to this earth, he was born of a woman, he was born under the law of God, he fulfilled all the law, thus being perfect, and being here, he did good to all and healed those oppressed by the devil, he performed miracles, signs and wonders, the blind saw, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke, the lame walked and the dead rose again, because God was with him. Jesus was a man who stretched out his hands to the fallen and did not step on them. Jesus came to save and seek what was lost. But HE was rejected, offended and condemned to death and death on a cross, but that's where God shows his love for us, in that Christ died on the cross for our sins, HE died for us, it was an exchange, HE suffered the condemnation in our place, and after three days God raised his Son Jesus Christ from the dead, because death could not stop him, because in him there was no sin. He defeated death and today we have hope, God now announces repentance to all men. JESUS CHRIST is the Judge who will judge the living and the dead, what GOD is now announcing to all people is repentance. Repent of your sins, turn from your sins, and believe in JESUS CHRIST, your sins will be forgiven and you will be saved.

The day I turned twenty one years old, I started a job driving one of these with a co-driver, from Minneapolis MN to the east coast. The route was between Boston and Baltimore. These trucks were, in my humble opinion, the worst pieces of crap that existed at the time. I think they were known as Transtar trash cans. They would shake apart with the screws that held them together inside them backing out and dropping parts of the interior on you. The sleeper was too short. You would have your head touching one end and you feet touching the other. I was supposed to sleep while the other guy drove it down the road. I lasted nine months until I was fired for being crabby to the customers. The guys that took over for me, drove it down a mountainside somewhere in NY.

It was rough enough being in it by yourself then add a co pilot. Drove one myself east coast hauling fuel. We called them the 13 letter shit spreader.

I put on several hundred thousands of miles on some of those, they were junk but cheap. After about 2 million miles on cab overs, I was glad to get out of those rough riding junk . Doesn't Matter what it was, International, Freightliner , Pete, KW, Ford or GMC. One thing I will say, I drove a 77 Ford and GMC they both had better heaters and A/C than the others of 1977 year models.

you had company version cheap!!!these were an all a ircraft strength welded cab with the best structural braces and beams i drove one in 1979 a friend was letting me help him get his 4 tier high loads of lumber all up those deadly lamenting in Quebec one nite he fell asleep at the wheel but never admitted it we rolled these were big heavy Canadian loads.i woke up in the bush half way down the side of the mountain turned out he roller her 47 times almost to the bottom.we survived she was a beautiful coe 1473 and was crushed down to seats how did he survive? he crawled under his steering wheel the fckn welded super structure is what made the difference.had was trapped 3 days and 2 nites only glass embedded in his ears,sore balls,and some overall pain I floated it home no one believed he survived and me being thrown out thats why I'm alive.and this is why ih has gone back to welded cabs.rivets will shear,fiberglass will disintegrate.. welded cab much stronger and safer

I drove a transstar for years it had a 350 Cummins in it and you are correct on EVERY point you hit on, the fun part was for relaxation trying to find where all the screws on the floor after that day of driving go and try to get them all in place! The good old days?
@bertgrau39342 жыл бұрын
@@karlk6860 Good old days? Well, they weren't real fun but I made a good living, in retrospect, they weren't bad. I retired in January of 22 the last 2 years were the worst for me. Bruce, this truck brings back some memories to me. My dad ran trucks here in Australia (but not International ) and had a driver named Robert Winwood who would later drive one of these for Knights fuel haulage. One of these trucks is featured in the film Mad Max near the end. His truck was powered by an NTC 335 Cummins. The one in yours looks like it is an NTA series as it has an air intercooler on the block. Good luck with it. They were a really good reliable truck.

The over cab design never fails to make me laugh. _Every_ time I see one jacked up, I always imagine the guy's loose change, candy, sunglasses, maps, paperwork, and just about everything else crashing into the windshield and making a huge mess.

I work on HGV mostly over cabs and ALL drivers are warned/told you are responsible for everything in the cab. I’ve seen all sorts flying through the windscreens.

@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ Sorry, but no. I just don't trust someone who raped his own mother to give birth to himself; then killed himself to absolve people of the sins that he gave them in the first place. How selfish do you have to be to do that? Kind of answers itself, I guess. It's sort of akin to saying you love your wife, but then threaten to lock her in a basement and set her on fire if you even _suspect_ she might not love you back. What a load of crap.

I'm amazed the engines arent seized from sitting for 25 years. That old truck has seen better days. Impressive

Cabovers are unique in the way that their engines are almost completely covered from the weather. Other styles of rigs allow a lot more water and moisture to get in

In most case the reason for slow spinning motors with good batteries is poor connections. steps 1 see if it spins over, step 2 clean the battery cable ends and ensure there is a good clean ground connection.
@josh330252 жыл бұрын
Yeah you'll spend hours on something and then come to find out it's just a bad ground to the engine.
@Demonslayer201112 жыл бұрын
Seems that the negative wire was the issue. Broken strands or something I bet. Just running a new one to ground wouldve worked.

Yo Bruce Wilson that exhaust manifold should be the same thing for what you need on your payloader. If that's going to the scrap yard I'd work out a deal to snatch that cummins up for a spare engine for something.

parked up the year after I passed my 4 wheeler driving test. trucking here in the UK probably went down hill in the late 70's to early 80''s, then the doomsday came in from about 86 - 91 with a lot of companies calling in the creditors, which killed off a lot of small trucking companies due to the freight being moved but the shipping was paid a month behind with their bills. then if that didn't kill off trucking then the introduction to 24 hour shopping in the late 90's did, as now can't even drive anywhere without seeing a lot of car traffic in the early hours of the morning which was the best time to move freight without idiot car drivers.
