I will never understand the obsession people have with Peterbilt trucks. I've owned one Peterbilt and 3 Kenworths, my Peterbilt was a 379 big hood with the American Class interior, true ultra sleeper. It was loaded, but it was loud inside, the interior couldn't hold a candle to a VIT Kenworth. I guess people that don't care for a Kenworth, obviously have never driven one. They're a better truck hands down.

Ya, I have been in the dash and done wiring, I have changed bunk shocks and bunk air bags, and also shocks and Airbags on 8 bag and 4 bag suspension. It's called penetrating oil. Any truck owner that takes care of their equipment has this in their sidebox, and uses it. So, I will keep this shit, cause a Kenworth is a better built and better looking truck in my opinion. I've got my outlook, you've got yours.

First I heard about this event . They don't advertise this stuff like they usually did back 20 years ago on radio, TV. How do they make anything with no spectators. If you want to go pulling, a suggestion is an Mack with an E9. Still affordable, strong, and parts are available.

1 2..... The E9's (V8) have generally "survived" with better longevity after they're "built", than the Cats do. The "strongest" (able to hold the torque) engines in the professional Super Semi class of the NTPA, ECP Associations, are the Cummins KTA/QSX19 of course with the longest stroke. Horsepower wise, they're pretty much all in the 3,500 - 4K +/- range (Pro Semi points class pullers), with torque generally around 4,400 - 5,000 lb ft +/-..... but again, how long the engine can "hold" that torque is totally dependent on it's stroke length... with overall gearing ratio, adding or subtracting to it's ability to put that power to the ground. You don't want to gear the same for a "soft" pull track (all county fair and some of the lesser known pulling assoc. tracks), as you would for a "hard" track... like at all the NTPA / ECPA points tracks.
