Lindholm is a good player, he had the same amount of points as debrusk in the post season but he was on a completely new team, new system and debrusk was on a team with people he knows. shows lindholm is decent.

I dont know how you can say they are not big winners in 2024 free agency. I know people like to complain and nit pick everything but landing the top Free Agent Centermen and one of the best Free Agent Defenseman available on the market is a huge win in my book. Every other team has to hand out contracts like this to players who are 28-30 years old (Just look at the Leafs this offseason, Bruins fans would be livid if Sweeney made those signings). Not to mention the Bruins got their 'Bertuzzi trade' 1st rd pick back just by trading their backup goalie who had 1 year remaining on his deal (More of Sweeneys work B's fans whine about). I dont know what more to ask of the Bruins GM.

Yea well they couldn’t fill every hole they had. Getting bigger and tougher is the biggest change and I’m looking forward to the Bruins getting nasty and pushing opponents around. Zadorov should allow for McAvoy to play his game. Elias Lindholm makes them better down the middle immediately. Would Ike to see a trade for a top 6 scorer.

The Bruins improved via free agency but they had a lot of holes to fill and not all of them were The biggest question mark is still their Top 6 scoring as all they really did in the Top 6 was swap out Debrusk’s offense for Elias Lindholm’s. I’m not sure how that will help them score a ton of more goals next year because Jake Debrusk the last two years combined, 47 goals. Elias Lindholm, 36 I know Lindholm is a center and Debrusk is a wing but again, they lost one Top 6 player in Debrusk and only brought in one Top 6 player to replace him Elias Lindholm will make Zacha and Pasta better and he could have a big bounce back points year. That should lead to a bit more offense and potentially much more than that. However, the Bruins needed two Top 6 players and to be honest that number was really three. Now they still have a Top 6 RW problem and the reality is. Charlie Coyle isn’t a Top 6 center either and come playoff time, that has been proven in spades. That Proof? Charlie Coyle the last three post seasons combined totals: -4 lousy goals and only one at even strength -A craptastic -8 for a guy that’s supposed to be a two-way guy -A craptastic 47% at the faceoff dot for a guy that’s supposed to be a faceoff guy Those are NOT Top 6 center numbers, not even close. So can we stop this nonsense that Charlie Coyle is a good enough 2c come the playoffs. He’s not. Coyle is good enough in the regular season as a 2c and then he’s trash come the playoffs and the STATS, so the TRUTH, homers, says so The Bruins real Top 6 players right now? Zacha (at wing because he’s not a Top 6 center either), Lindholm, Pasta & a 37 year old Brad Marchand playing on two bad hips Seems like they're short two Top 6 guys And again Homers, Zacha is not a Top 6 center. He got ran out of NJ because he failed in that role. And the last two post seasons? 2022-23 Post Season: Played mostly wing on Bergeron's line 2023-24: Played either 2nd line wing or 3rd line center behind Morgan friggin Geekie Zacha doesn't even play center in the playoffs for Boston so can we stop that he's a Top 6 center to Zacha has only scored ONE friggin goal in his entire playoff career!!! The Bruins still have a Top 6 scoring problem people. That hasn’t changed. Kastelic & Jones both move the Bruins closer to being more like Florida size and attitude wise and that’s a good thing The same can be said about Nikita Zadorov who will not only make their blue line deeper and tougher to play against. Hampus Lindholm won’t be in as many critical defensive situations any more, Lohrei will be given more room and time to develop in a less critical role and McAvoy will be less targeted and have less responsibility over all All of these are good things but it’s also clear that the Bruins are still trying to win with depth down the middle, defensive execution and goal tending. They 100% made moves that will help them be exactly that but to say come playoff time the Bruins won’t suffer from some of the same offense problems based they have the past few years… It sure seems as though that’s still going to be a problem but it’s July. There’s a long way to go and they can always try acquiring other pieces in season Although again, if the Bruins keep pissing away all of their 1st and 2nd round picks, their farm system is going to continue to stink and be filled with far too many 4th to 7th round guys who 90% or more of, will never play a shift in the NHL

Zadorov was there best signing they have lacked that guy for years. I see them mix and matching the d core through out the game. So you don’t have to put so much pressure on Mac and lindholm.

Elias pushes one of our centers from last year out to a wing. Zacha is more of a scorer than DeBrusk. I really think we have a good chance to win it all next year.

So what Sweeney is doing is trying to free up McAvoy to score goals because we dont 't have another top 6 winger to go along with Pastrnak and also hope that Lohrei can become a goal scorer like McAvoy. Zacha as a top 6 winger is a joke. He is not a goal scorer. Lindholm and Pastrnak are going to be less effective without someone who has their talent level and good luck finding one at the trade deadline. Let's hope that Draisaitl doesn't sign with an east coast team or we are screwed.

I hear ya but top 6 wingers dont grow on trees. Hard to acquire/find or draft guys like that. McAvoy does need to shoot more we've been saying this for years.

ds go get Tyler Johnson for low you need scoring help, marchy isnt getting any younger and pasta cant do it by himself. You need players to step up in the most critical times that's the playoffs and none has produced so far especially the 3rd line so please go do it.
