Thanks Brother 👊. Not sure I'll be getting a Sledge. Contrary to claims the truck doesn't need upgrades, I already know the 6061 formed chassis and braces have limitations. Thanks so much Brother 😜. Yes I'm still running 30/39 gearing in Big Red 😍. She'll wheelie up pretty easily with my Leo 5898, but I just ease into and feather the throttle most times. The Masher X HP's will keep her more planted no question. Extremely fast wheels. They have good bite overall, but don't balloon to pop the front up so easily. The 8s Spectrum electronics are actually very impressive 👀. Sounds like she's running strong Brother. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Bruisers is the right term for these big rigs. Some serious land missiles and high fliers 🙌. My local RC Crawler comp club had a fun event at a nearby bike skills park so I took my 6S EXB Kraton out there. I've been running the rtr spektrum esc and motor on the factory punch setting of 4 until the other weekend. I only bumped it to 6 and it breathed new life into the Kraton. It went from really nose-heavy feeling jumps and lawn darting to flying really nice with easy throttle corrections. It's a totally different animal and I even managed to get pretty consistent at landing back flips. 🤩🤩 SO much fun when you have the right space to run a rig and get things a little more dialed in

Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜!!!! I'd been wanting to do a comparison vid for awhile. Both rigs feel fast as heck. The 5687 feels perfect in the lighter XMaxx. Actually felt great in Big Red too before my first one blew up 😱🤣🤣. I won't buy another Leo 5898. Tons of torque, but just isn't easy to make subtle corrections with from throttle to brake. Doesn't have that smoothness like Hobbywing and Hobbystar. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Hey Rich, I just got my outcast 8s exb and i am gathering parts for my build. Are there any must do mods before i drive it? I mostly bash in the dunes.
@richduperbash29662 жыл бұрын
Congrats on your EXB Brother 😱!!!! I would honestly just run the truck stock and upgrade as you go as needed. It's already got the bigger EXB shocks and camber links. I can't speak for the chassis because I only ran the longer K8s EXB one myself. It actually did pretty good considering how much abuse it took 😂. Make sure to go through all your hardware. The pillow ball nuts can come loose or even too tight. M2C locking ones with Delrin inserts are the cure for that. Another good idea is running the 7075 brace rod ends if you start breaking yours. Really depends on your needs. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Hey Rich quick question why do you run the 1100kv over the 800kv on the big trucks? What are your pros and cons?
@richduperbash29662 жыл бұрын
The 1100kv is lighter and faster for top speeds (better mid-top range). I'm able to get more wheelspin with lower gearing vs running an 800kv that requires 1/1 gearing. Honestly, 1100kv feels about perfect for both trucks 👍. The Hobbystar 980kv 56112 was also great in my 08s, but it felt better suited in the bigger Kraton. 😎💪👊👊

Awesome bash session!! Driving skills are out of this world! :) I hear from people that the hub extenders add extra stress to the hubs, bearings and steering components. What is your experience and opinion on that? Also, in my country they only sell the small chassis brace and not the beefcake one. Do you think that brace will work as well, or should I look at the option to buy the beefcake brace from the US/UK for added rigidity?
@richduperbash29662 жыл бұрын
Thanks so very much Brother 😜. So sorry I missed your comment 👀. Yes it's true that hub extenders can add extra strain to hubs and bearings, but I haven't noticed any significant issues thus far 👍. Especially running RPM rear hubs and Traxxas HD front hubs as both used oversized inner bearings. The difference in stability and handling is definitely worth it 😍. Don't hesitate to purchase the standard chassis brace. Both it and the Beefcake version work as designed. The chief role it plays is linear anchoring. Both do the all important job of keeping the bulkheads from pulling apart in a linear plane. Think of a steel cable on a bridge. It's function is to keep 2 concrete structures from pulling away from one another. That's exactly what both braces achieve between the 3 modular chassis pods. I had zero chassis failures with the standard brace. 🍻😎💪👊👊

I mean really who buys more parts then us bashers.Maybe I will have to put one on if no company steps up.No offence racing is ok but bashing is freaking exciting and a blast.

send it! that crash at 3:20 didn't even look that bad but I suppose with the weight behind these big rigs you have to land pretty square or else
@richduperbash29662 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brother 🤗. You're right, it didn't seem bad and wasn't a big jump. I did notice the wheel snag the ground awkwardly though (fully weighted) and that's what exposes these heavier rigs to breakage. Landing squarely is super important with the bigger trucks. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Killer Rip there my friend of these two behemoths 😳🚀🚀👍 M2Cification makes this all possible as that M2C Chassis brace on the Xmaxx is KEY. Great quick breakdown but the Bashing was on point brother.... Can't believe what bashing was done when these two were just out of the box compared to what y'all throwing down now days.... Some sick airs, reversals and she twirling like them 6s rigs😎🚀🚀 I swear you pack as much action in the last 2 minutes as I do in one of my whole videos 😳😎👍 Kilt it brother Rich, See ya round

Freakin EPIC session with Bertha and Big Red Bro Rich! What an absolute Fun Ride this was Bro! Watching these two Beasts going at it in the same video was awesome! Both are absolute Beasts in their own way! The Outcast 8s is just undeniably superior in all its ways over the Xmaxx. That just Facts! LoL 😂. Good call on going aluminum with your steering bellcrank. I went Vitavon on mine and never looked back. The tire explosion 💥 was Nuts LoL 🤣. Did you open the briefcase 💼? Must be Drugs, money and guns in there LoL 🤣. Super dope session my friend.

Thanks so very much Brother Chris 😜!!!! I'd been waiting to get both big girls out together for awhile 🤣. So pressed for time lately between work and family 😍. Felt KILLER to get them both running tight and mix up a few spots. The O8s is my personal favorite no question 🥰🥰. She handles like no other and takes an absolute beating 👀. Huge thanks so M2C for fortifying both platforms 💪. Bertha is finally holding her own thanks to Mitch and Avery's ingenious designs. Stoked about the HR servo saver/bellcrank 😱. The fitment was perfect and the steering feels dialed now. I wanted to peak in the suitcase, but it had been opened already and I didn't want to find anything sketchy 😂. Really appreciate the kind words Brother!!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

That is some serious bashing with Zilla (xmaxx) and Kong (outcast)! With those upgrades those things are absolute bashing beasts. Straight up King of the Monsters RC style! What type of cleaning agents/sprays or method do you use after a bash like this? (if you have a video on this ill have to dig it up).
@richduperbash29662 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Brother 😜. The upgrades have been huge for both trucks 🚀🚀. I normally just air compress and do basic maintenance/cleaning and hardware checks after a dry weather bash. After a few dry bashes (and after every weather/mud bash), I rinse off my rigs, spray them with 50/50 mix of water and Simple Green. After a few minutes I rinse them off again, dry with a shop blower, towels, and air compressor. Then I shoot the bearings and hinge pins with Silicone spray and run the truck briefly. That's my basic wash and lube. I'll clean and oil or replace bearings as needed during diff or hub maintenance. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Big red is a Apsalote Beast.. Question What does it cost to build one like this with all the upgrades to turn it into a Crazy Beast like this. Big Red is Awesome my Friend.
@richduperbash29662 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brother 🤗. The biggest upgrade is the M2C chassis. It alone is a HUGE strength upgrade for the platform. The EXB 8s and M2C 8s 7mm shock kit option are both significant upgrades over the RTR 5mm 8s shocks. So are the beefier EXB toe links. Total cost depends on electronics and upgrade choices. You can tally up costs based on prospective choices. The chassis kit is around 230$ and electronics just depends. 😎💪👊👊

Yet another epic bash session per usual! Man I've always wondered how the diff maintenence is for these rigs. I've also got a "big girl" I call her "The Heiffer" K8EXB and I have issues on the rear diff cases with these one off M3.5 screws shearing off often from arrma. Even the upgraded Armma aluminum cases... what's the secret to them man I've got 1m/20m/500k running proline masher x hp, xlx2 1100kv 30/39 no matter what just sending 10ft 12ft jumps seems to much for these heiffers. I have also blown up 3 or 4 of the copppehead big blocks 😁 .Lots of m2c part too.(even messaged them to see if they had a diff solution in play) What's do you run in these dude, stockers or just lots of wrenching? Thanks brother Rich!
@richduperbash29662 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brother 🤗. I'm running the same diff weights except using silicone ear plugs in my center diff. I do diff maintenance periodically. I've busted a couple stock rear plastic diff cups. Probably happened from excessive upward strain on the outdrive cup 🤔. That's the only time I've had a gear problem. If you're having hardware issues, I would find some grade 12.9 steel metric replacements. I use lots of upgraded bolts from Monsterbolts.com. 🍻😎💪👊👊

I'm happy with the 30mm width gain. The M2C Hexs and Sure Lock nuts are brilliant compared to the stock Traxxas set-up. No C-clip plastic turd hexes to pry off.
