Jerudong Park Playground is closed Mon & Tue, & u actually went to the non-playground areas (amphitheatre & fountain). U should've gone to the ticket counters in order to enter & go on the cool rides. And locals dont hike in the middle of the day when its very hot & sunny. Normal hiking hours r from sunrise to 8.00 am, & from 4.00 pm to sunset, when temperatures r less than 30°Celcius, hence more bearable. And the reason the park near the mosque was quiet when u were there is because the majority of the population was at work/school. The park comes "alive" every night with joggers (when it doesnt rain) & every Sunday with families.

We did know the park wasn’t fully abandoned, however we just didn’t have the time to enjoy the rides on the other side of the park. Next time we will have to plan to spend a full day there! We did go hiking early in the morning but not early enough! Next time we will have to go during the times you suggested! We love that the park comes alive later in the day with the locals - we loved being in the quiet as most times while we travel the areas were very crowded by tourists no matter the time of the day! its very refreshing to be able to explore with no one else around - Brunei felt like a breath of fresh air for us!

I’m going next month. Is it a walking city?
@j.b.schultz4112 Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, BUT the bus system was the best! $1 per ticket and you can go anywhere! Download the Moovit app and you can find any route and the closest bus stops.

a lot of these places you visited arent very alive during the times you went there. Normally they're more crowded and alive during the weekends or night time! I recommend you visit the park during sunset to night time or Sunday mornings. There will usually be a bunch of people selling items or blowing bubbles and sometimes, have a picnic. Whereas for Jerudong Park, there is a different area where the rides are located at. Again, recommended to go during the weekends or during school holidays (like december or end of november :D)

Hi guys is there any ferry from KK to Labuan?
@j.b.schultz41122 жыл бұрын
We ended up taking the bus from KK to Menumbok and then a ferry to Labuan and then another ferry from Labuan to Brunei. There is a ferry that goes directly but it only runs every few days and doesn’t have a guaranteed schedule.

I love Brunei, I am an American and I come every yr to visit filipina family. I love Brunei, the people are so friendly, so nice. So peaceful, I wished I could live here, but not allowed. The only thing I don't like Brunei is they import cheap slave labor from the Philippines and other Asian countries. I wished Brunei would raise the OFWs salary so they can support their families. Instead they are just surviving
