Brunette Sombre // Summer Hair Color // Balayage Style Teased Highlights // Daniella Benita

Hello Hair Fam! Learn my technique to make teased highlights look like balayage for a beautiful summer look for brunettes, mixing gold and ashy brown tones. FORMULA INCLUDED!

Formula 1: Back of the head
2 scoops of Schwartzkopf Vario lightener + 2 1/2 ounces of 30 volume and 1/4 Olaplex
Formual 2: Sides of the head
1 scoops of Schwartzkopf Vario lightener + 1/2 ounce of 40 volume + 1/4 ounce of Olaplex
Formula 3: Lifting and blending
Use the same bowl of 40 volume with Olaplex to blend the highlights into the root.
Formula 4: Color Melt
1/2 ounce of 3A Redken Shades EQ + 1 ounce of 6GB + 1 1/2 ounces of processing solution.
Ends: 1/2 ounce of 9NW + 1/2 ounce of 9NB + 1 ounce of Redken Shades EQ processing solution. Leave it on for 10 minutes at the bowl!
Clear gloss after toner: (optional) 1 ounce of clear + 1 ounce of processing solution. This helps lock in the color and adds tons of shine!

I also follow a hair stylist named Ryan Wheedan and he says toners are supposed to be left on longer because then they last longer on your hair, example 10 minutes equals 10 washes 20 minutes 20 washes etcetera. Most hair stylists never leave it long enough that's why toners fades out fast.

Do you color all the hair or in the sections did you color some pieces and then leave some of her natural hair and then color the next piece?

This looks great! I want to recreate this but I’m not sure how big you sectioned the parts and how big the pieces are that are bleached.

Blia Xiong thank you! They are about a half an inch thick and I mostly saturate the ends and feather up to the top. I also did a brick lay pattern all the way up the head.

Lisa The Beautician hey! So I took every other piece and teased it and for the front I made sure to grab every piece of her hair to make sure she has a big pop section in the front. It all depends on how much hair your client has but make sure if they want more lightened tease more if they want to look more natural leave more pieces out.

You could definitely use a highlight to create this look. Redken has a line called blonde idol that I really love but bleach always gives me the best results when it comes to lightening hair. DM me on instagram if you have any questions!
