Great video. It's nice to see the way the ball rolls for different people. The ball is very surprising but it rolls nice. That was a tough break for Matt in the tenth and nice distraction on JR with showing his biggest fan... lol. 21:21 21:23

We agree seeing multiple styles of bowlers helps a lot. Sometimes you see a ball review by someone who throws it nothing like you and it's hard to get much from it.

These videos are getting better and better! I love the trash talking. I think cutting out the predictions and getting right to the shots was a good decision. Thank y'all for doing these pink slip reviews!

Hello, can the Perfect Mindset hook back to the pocket if I missed the right side of my target. (For low rev person)
@VirtueBowlingSupply Жыл бұрын
This ball is strong but the original Mindset is a touch stronger. Both are good but that might be a better option for lower revs. If you're near one of our pro shops drop in and we would be happy to help you figure out the perfect option.

Would any of the three of you, change your layout for patterns? And if so, what layout might you choose?
@VirtueBowlingSupply Жыл бұрын
Had a chance to get feedback from all three. Hope this helps. Michael said he takes into consideration what the ball is designed to do before choosing a layout. Best to work with a balls strengths versus trying to make it do something it wasn't designed to. He said he likes it as drilled but if he had two he would lay them out with 2 different layouts to match them up better for longer and shorter patterns. He prefers long pins for more angular balls and on balls he wants a smoother arc short pins or pin down layouts. Matt said if he were drilling for sport patterns or tighter conditions he would go with short pins and smoother rolling layouts. For house shots he sticks with very similar layouts and then fine tunes by choosing cores or adjusting surfaces that will give him the desired shot shape on that condition. Rich said when choosing layouts for house shot she tries not to go for extremes so he will tend to drill strong balls with weaker layouts and weaker balls with stronger layouts. This gives him a more versatile ball versus super weak or super angular balls that can be unpredictable with a wet/dry house pattern. For sport shots it's a different story he likes to keep pin distances 3.5-4.5 from his PAP and use larger val angles. Then he will fine tune with surface adjustments.

Kind of a theme I've seen with some of the newer releases that have HK22, in that they respond so well to friction that grabbing it just a bit or being a touch slow can result in it just bouncing off the end of the pattern (at least on the conditions I've thrown on and some of the reviews I've seen). I mean, being slow and grabby rarely ends up being a good thing, but just seems to amplify it a touch. That said, when you get it right, the impact at the pins is very satisfying.

Good input and we agree. Playing with the surface a bit can smooth it out a bit though. Most of these videos the guys haven't had a ton of time to learn the ball or test multiple surfaces.

What kinda surface would you recommend for this ball?? I been trying 2000 grit dull after a few games but having a hard time with it on a house shot...

Depends your style and conditions. Talk to your pro shop about what you are experiencing and see what they suggest. Maybe 1000 or 800 will be better.
