I like that. HEre's a tip for those PVC glue cans. You know what I'm talking about the damn caps get stuck on forcing you to use a tool that then damages the cap so it never seals again and your glue gets ruined. With a forstner bit or a wood lathe drill a blind hole in a hunk of wood that just lets the cap in with some slop. Shape the wood so you can grip it real well. Epoxy the cap in the hole.

I may be in the minority here, but the first thing I do with my anti seize lids is cut the brush off. I end up sharing jars, and I cannot stand the entire top, and sides, being coated in nickel based anti seize. My old job, we actually made stainless holders out of heavy wall pipe and cut the tops off of the jars. We worked on bigger stuff, so we could just hang a paint brush off the handle as the acid brush was pretty small for a lot of jobs. (We went through a jar quickly as well) I'll give this a try in the future. Thanks for your awesome tips!

this really works! and honestly, doing it without a lathe (didn't feel like dragging my at-home can over to the shop ... ) is super easy: takes about 10 seconds to clean it up once you've mixed it i think the most important piece of advice in this [dense!] video is trimming the brush - improves the user experience by an order of magnitude at least

Thanks for the tip. I figured skip the scraper and just run the lathe speed up, works perfectly. About 2k rpm for a 1lb can did the trick, perhaps faster for the smaller diameter cans or thicker stuff. Reviewed a bunch of these comments and others have the same thought but as a joke. Actually try it though, leave the lid on and it works great at speed.

Rob this video will without a doubt cause people to think of their never seize can and check their favorite solvent supply to get it off of their tools, clothing, hands, nose, you name it when they are finished. If the thought of breathing lacquer thinner in mass quantities is unappealing to them, they should know that Dawn liquid dish soap and water removes never seize quite nicely. In fact they can scrub the internal cap threads, the brush in the can top prior to trimming, and the whole can of never seize (after it is closed up) with Dawn and not a trace will remain to transfer to their bed sheets that evening. Reminds me of a story. A friend of mine who owns a service station, but is afraid to retire as myself, had a young millennial employee who was applying Never Sieze to wheel studs on a car. I watched as he carefully painted all of the male threads on one stud until there was no trace of the threads, he was about to start the second stud when I could not take it any longer, and opening my mouth said, “Shawn, it’s like Brylcream. A little dab will do ya” He cocked his head like a dog and looking at me says, “What are you talking about?” To which his boss working in the service bay next to him burst out in laughter and said to me, “He has no idea what you are talking about.”😊

Never Seize is so nasty, I started using the vet syringes used for cleaning a dog's ears, (spaniels, retreivers and such get ear problems real easily if they get water in them, the syringe is used to put drying meds in the ear.). They are a big syringe, 5cc IIRC. They also have a curved tip, which makes getting Never Seize inside internal threads, or around external threads easy. You can cut the tip to get the size of bead you want. A full syringe lasts me 4-5 years. Re: manual method Another use for a machinists rule! Send it to OxTools! LOL
