I love this! I recently made 2 mountain panel quilts. One hasn't been put on my long arm yet but both were fun to cut to the size needed and adapt to a larger quilt. This pattern is now a part of my to stitch list!

I really like the deeper colors better than the pastels. Both are beautiful but I prefer the deeper one. You are amazing at designing quilts and sewing them. You have the perfect space with those huge tables, cutting mats, and ironing boards. Great job Donna. 🤗🤗🤗

Wow, both versions are wonderful. I always love to see how you do things as well. I always learn something new from you. I always use a weight now when I’m cutting longer pieces of fabric. I like how you pinned them together to sew and then reversed the pin to just slide the pieces off. I will definitely use that trick!! Thanks a bunch!

I just recently discovered your website & video series here on KZbin. I'm 69 years old & a fairly new quilter (3 1/2 years at it), so am continuing to learn this amazing craft. I love that you posted this. I have some panels that I really like and have been holding off doing anything with them and now I can see how to make a plan to work with them. What you showed us here means that we need to plan the colorway and to piece something that directs the eyes to the panel, and also to help reshape the design so we get the size quilt we like. Example - I don't like square quilts and you took a square panel and created a rectangle quilt. I've seen those very same panels in quilt shops and didn't buy them..because they were squares. That's not very creative or open minded of me hehe. On a rectangle border I could use the same approach you did, except add the pieced bits all the way around. Love it, thanks again Donna!
