Wow, both versions are wonderful. I always love to see how you do things as well. I always learn something new from you. I always use a weight now when I’m cutting longer pieces of fabric. I like how you pinned them together to sew and then reversed the pin to just slide the pieces off. I will definitely use that trick!! Thanks a bunch!

I just recently discovered your website & video series here on KZbin. I'm 69 years old & a fairly new quilter (3 1/2 years at it), so am continuing to learn this amazing craft. Your video on the Transitions quilt was very helpful, as I had bought the pattern 6 months ago, but was having trouble deciphering the instructions. I am more of a visual learner, so this video was extremely beneficial & I can't wait to make this quilt now. Would love to visit your store one day, but I'm a customer for life now...bought some fabric & a pattern from you a couple of days ago. You guys are awesome!

I love that you posted this. I have some panels that I really like and have been holding off doing anything with them and now I can see how to make a plan to work with them. What you showed us here means that we need to plan the colorway and to piece something that directs the eyes to the panel, and also to help reshape the design so we get the size quilt we like. Example - I don't like square quilts and you took a square panel and created a rectangle quilt. I've seen those very same panels in quilt shops and didn't buy them..because they were squares. That's not very creative or open minded of me hehe. On a rectangle border I could use the same approach you did, except add the pieced bits all the way around. Love it, thanks again Donna!
