Stuck and no clue how to continue mid-painting | Insights on painting a watercolor bouquet

I don't always get to finish a painting in 1 seating with a toddler in the home. Painting during her naptime and finding my painting flow coming on just when she wakes can really break my train of thought.
I started strong with a vision of what I wanted - problem was, I came back to it the next day and changed my mind about what I felt for it. I was not sure how to approach it again.
I left it 'collecting dust' for a week and finally mustered some courage to do as I like.
This bouquet took me 2 separate sessions - I actually finished it as a first layer and then it took me a while to come back to it because I was not happy with the first layer. I lost my train of thought and wasnt sure how to return to it. Watch this painting unfold with me and journey through its ups and downs as we paint together.
This video will give you insights of how I began this painting, the struggles and how it became. My hope is that you see how a painting's story may not become how it began and that it is alright to change your mind and change up how the flower looks on the reference photo.
