I have a Brussels griffon, and hes just ridiculously riddled with character.. he understands a countless amount of words and expressions. He thinks everyone including cats are his instant friends.. intelligent and still learning at the age of 10 nearly, and oddly very empathetic and aware of people and his surroundings. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending a Brussels Griffon as a companion purely on their enthusiasm alone. And mine and others have also said they are fantastic with children as well, despite the low rating this video puts them at on that case of point.. everything else stated is fairly spot on though.. I absolutely love and adore my monkey face doggo..

I actually rescued mine from the streets 3 years ago he was in such bad shape starved, and some A hole beat him, but I got him to the vet right away to get all fixed up and to this day he is my best friend. I can’t imagine life without him. He is wonderful with my kids and was great with my maltypoo right off the bat, and just so loving.

Angela Teague - girl that’s my story too! My little baby came up to me limping and shivering on New Year’s Day! My plan was to get her to a vet and a shelter but she’s never left my side! She was definitely beat as well and it makes me so sad to think what she was going through before God put us together! I love her so much. My little Ducky!

I fell in love with my Brussels 11 years ago and she has been the best dog that I could hope for! She loves with all her heart and she is smart. She knows if something is bothering me and she tries to make everything better. She is great with kids and other animals. The only thing she does not like is strange noises like buzzing or clicking. She definitely loves everyone.

Yep ...Griffs HATE household fire alarms ..and even when the battery needs changing..also when your car goes through a tollway ..WHAT IS THAT NOISE?..lol

We had to put our Brussels Griffon, Riley down a couple of weeks ago. This was the first Brussels Griffon we have owned and we had him for 13 years. I wouldn't have traded it for the world! He was so quirky and ruled the household. We rearranged our lives to provide him with the best care, attention, and love a dog could ever want or need. Riley was true to his breed when I view the traits and videos of other Brussels griffons. Unbelievably amazing how their behavior is consistent regardless of the environment they are raised in.

Lori Aliberti so sorry for your lose I had to write u because your story is so similar to mine. I had to put down my Brussells griffon Lucy Oct 30 and she was 14 it was one of the worst days of my life they really are such special dogs and members of the family but on a higher note we are getting ready to welcome a new addition to our family this week and I couldn't be more excited and yes I would only settle for another Brussells. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Our beautiful Mrs Snuffles ( our first Griffon) had to be put to sleep two weeks ago. We are Heartbroken beyond words. She was such an amazing little lady. 💖💖💖✨🙏🇦🇺

My family got my Brussel names Russel around the time I was born. He born a couple days before me. He is 13 and he his so laid back, I love him so much, and he poops in my basement.

I hag a Brussels for 11 years. And he was the best dog ever. I had to have him put down 3 years age because his bowls and bladder gave out. I still cry over him.

We have a Brussels griffon cairn terrier mix. He is loving intelligent giving and loyal. my mother was having a medical emergency one morning and he woke me up to go check on her. He's our family hero!

My Griff as they are called by Breeders, was my heart of hearts. We were peas and carrots. I had to put her to sleep when she was 10.75 years old. I have a rough coat and a smooth coat and they are so sweet and love each other. I miss my baby PeggySue each and everyday. She was born breech and had to have her left foot amputated because her Mom tried to get her out of the womb.... She truly was and is so special to me.

By far the best breed I have ever had. He is smart, loyal, loving, and devoted. He is my best buddy ever!! Now 11 and still going strong. I have to say I do not agree with the above rating system. They missed the mark on several characteristics. At least with my Brussels. Will be the only breed I ever own.

Watching this video definitely made me tear up a lil...had a Brussels for 15 years she passed away in May 2020 horrible time to leave this world but what an amazing doggo! She lived a very wild life that many dogs wouldn't experience. Toughest decision I ever had to make thus far of my life was havin her put down 🥺. For those that own a Brussels cherish that Lil furrball cause that 15 years have flown by I'm 31 now and honestly don't want another dog after her but just letting those know who are interested. this breed of dogs are so great! And honestly didn't need any medical attention til she got into her 12-13th year then she needed allergies shot and when year 15 struck she was on a daily pain pill doctors said she had arthritis all over her body. worse thing ever to see in your doggy eyes and see the pain but still very much alive but her body just didn't wanna work anymore and the doctors said there was nothing they could do....

WE have a mini golden doodle and a brussels, they are totally opposites in so many ways. The doodle is so relaxed and laid back and the Brussels is all about playing and wrestling. We love both dogs and they compliment each other. WE love Bob the brussels and he is a ball of energy with an incredible spirit. Very loving, very silly, a ball of fearless fun. He does get into trouble with big dogs as he likes to "push their buttons" in an attempt to play

Love your little video and generally I agree with most of your points. We have 2 and they are 13 & 14 yrs old an boy and girl not related. Would I choose this breed again, definitely perfect size and temperament for our needs. When Mork and Mindy leave to go on=ver the rainbow bridge we will get another pair.

@@marcoslaureano5562 MY BRUSSELS IS 19 AND HAS BEEN BRUSHED BY ME, BATHED AND AS FOR GROOMING....... SHE HAS NEVER BEEN GROOMED. IF U WANT THE GROOMING U R TALKING ABOUT LETTING THE FUR GROW FOR WHAT I CALL WHISKERS BUT WE KNOW ITS A LOT MORE FUR THAN THAT. THEY WILL NEED HAIR FROM EARS REMOVED, IF UR DOG HAS ANY AND CUT AROUND MOUTH, SHAPE CHIN HAIR, U R TALKING IF, IF U WANT TO SHOW. IF NOT A PET AT HOM IS SO MANAGEABLE. YOUR BEST BUDDY. HANDS DOWN.

I had a Brussels Griffon. It was a small lap dog. Mine was great with children. And oh so easy to train to fetch, shake hands, roll over, "bang-bang" roll on his back close his eyes stick out his tongue and play dead. And of course he was a ham-bone loved to pose for the camera. I had a fenced in yard where he would go out to do his business, and someone stole him.
