got to say your B+T was good the other weekend at Crappers, I was impressed as you only just passed your training. 🙂

Thanks 👍 Though I was a little close to the bottom and was struggling to bring myself up in the normal way. I’m getting there I’m with it 😊 Hopefully this weekend diving with a sidemount pro will help me out some. Need to get more flexibility back with this as I wouldn’t be confident taking my camera down with me currently.

Kiss SideWinder! Meant to be a fantastic unit to dive on! Fingers crossed this is exactly what you want pal, it’s crazy how one little interaction can make that much of a difference.

It was such a PITA. Felt like a total noob. I’ll get there though 👍

Great tools for a job, but they have an almost cult like following.

I’m new to drysuit diving and your frustrations resonated with me as I’m still all over the place trying to get buoyancy control after 8 dives in it. I’m sure it will be a case of practice makes perfect! Congratulations on your pass, enjoy the new unit!
@UKDiver2 жыл бұрын
Welcome aboard! Ah yes, drysuit will mess your buoyancy up if you’ve never dove one before. Here in the UK a drysuit is a necessity so we learn early on how to use one. Always a hot debate on whether you use your drysuit for primary buoyancy or wing with enough in the suit just to relieve squeeze. Where you from Ben and what’s how are you taught to dive with a drysuit?

You have me worried I only have an O level Math (equivalent)) and did not take Physics. They are starting training in NZ I may have to go back to school LOL.

It’s not that bad. Just looks a little scary when you first see it! It’s the quantity that’s the worry. I ended up setting myself a spreadsheet up (I’m handy enough with Excel) so it does all the maths for me now, which makes life much easier 👍

Do you think it will replace open circuit diving in the future. As myself with working in engineering for a long time. We've very special products. We dont sell that many. All though nothing to do with dive equipment. I can see the same principle here. Great videos.

Not this unit, no. Whilst it’s much less complicated the a full CCR in what it does, it’s still a fair bit more faff than OC plus there is also the initial upfront cost, even though it’s half the price of a new CCR, it’s still not cheap.
