What exactly is this new Brutal Mode? That barrier that's in the middle of the highway, is that where you have to strum, or does that just cut off notes so you can't see them before they get to the strum line? If it's the latter, how is this harder than the Performance Mode on the older Guitar Hero games?

+Kristian Bouboukis (paranoidpixie95) - I haven't watched this stream and this is my first time seeing Brutal Mode, but I'll describe how Brutal Mode works from me observing it for the first time in this video (and I'm just going to speculate/guess). The barrier seems to be turning notes invisible as it passes through them. The worse you do in a song, the closer the barrier will come to you (think of it as your second rock meter and you don't want that barrier to touch your fret line or whatever it's called), allowing you to see more notes. And the better you do in a song, the barrier will move farther away from you, making it harder for you to see notes before they turn invisible.

You hit the notes at the same place as usual but you have to focus on the notes that will be coming at you because you won't be able to see the notes past that thing on the highway. Trust me I played this yesterday and I got about 70% on the songs that I would normally get about a 90% on expert. By the way, Brutal Mode can only be played on expert.
