The freeze response on the other hand can be weakened with exactly what you said to yourself: " move, move". Thank you!😍. The freeze response can be deadly in an urgent situation that needs immediate reaction. Flight, fight, freeze are the top 3 responses in PTSD and freeze is the most dangerous. I'm 2nd degree black belt and have spent years competing in tournaments nationally, I spent 8 years in the Marine corps 2005 to 2013, I was born and raised in American Samoa and had an amazing family who taught me the samoan fireknife and hula and other cultural dances, I was a facilities manager for the Department of Defense, I went thru Beauty school and was a licensed esthetician and did makeup for television for 7 years. It’s very nuanced and far deeper than people not wanting to work (Also, it’s not just the younger generation who does this but hey, every preceding generation loves to go in on the next). People want to feel valued and make a difference in the work that they do. They also want to be fairly compensated as well. If someone states they don’t want to work on a project then they aren’t the right fit for your business or maybe they’re being honest about their abilities. Why would you want someone to work for you who isn’t a good fit? Let’s not pretend there aren’t toxic work cultures all over. I’m sure everyone in the comment section has horror stories. I agree that we all need to work but we haven’t been taught very well about “best fit”. Every person isn’t for ever job. Prior generations did many things as they were in survival mode and providing their families a better life. I believe in people working for what they want. They shouldn’t be lazy! You can have a better life it’s really easy get rid of your bad unsupportive friends who live unhealthy life with no goals . But you can’t have a healthy lifestyle if you have users and womanizers in your life it just isn’t possible. I’ve lost a lot of weight since December my back is the smallest it’s ever been 4 pairs of shorts that didn’t fit me a month ago fit now . I’m finally at a point when someone calls me fat or ugly I’m uneffected by this . Because I don’t believe this for one second. As a Chubby who got hypothyroidism and a most stressful job, and don't have a sleep routine. My weight gain is easy but it's so hard to lose it. I hitted 94 kg. last year after my lovely dog passed away, Yes its a mix of depression, loss and emotional. I give my time to be sad and cry, and from now on still miss him every day. But I got my life to move on, and looking at myself in the mirror I don't like my looks, my confidence gone. It took a year to lose 20 kg. It's still over weight if compared with my height but hit my goal at 75 and can make it lower. It is stable at some point like stuck at 80 for 2-3 months but I keep doing it, tgen its come down to 74-77. I don't push myself too hard. Just make it easy and happy with everyday life and keep thinking about my health. Because it's better than letting it over and over. I have lost weight and gained in some years. Up and down because my job is not a day work, so on that a lots of component, all about my depression, emotions and health problems. But I keep myself in between not too hard and not too chill. Focus on my mind and do my best, I still eat some desserts and fried, a shit foods but not so many times. Just change some behaviors. Now it gained a bit but it is still within my boundaries. I got another 7 kg. To hit my new goal even at my age keeps me older, and also a lot of symptoms that I got from my genes. Keep seeing my doctor and following up on my health because I have my dream hobbies to do and cannot succeed with my obesity. Life should be balanced. Start from your mind, you are valued, you are strong, and you deserve the best. You can do everything you want and your heart wants to do it too. If you appreciate your body health is good for you. To support yourself from inside your mind and your thoughts. If you have a mental health issue, that affects your weight, you need therapy. Come to see a doctor for psychological treatment. It's not easy but you will get your goal more easily. By the way, I do IF and soft workouts like walking, just walking. that fit my body and lifestyle. Also, keep seeing my doctor. I like my Chubby body and I do it for my health. It is perfect for me to be myself like this, Self-love is always a beautiful aura that shines in your heart, do it for yourself. I hope you can deal with emotions and depression. I do when I want to not others to order me to do. Even to be bullied on my body, I don't care. Find the way that you feel comfortable with, and take it easy. Talk to people who support, understand, and care about you. Focus on your goal. Just walk slowly, step by step. There is no short cut. Life is too short. If you have a dream and disappooint with your body or got health issues. Let start it now!!! I do understand your feeling. Because I am the one that used to be, I don't know the future too, that it will be gain more or not even I do live my life the same but I try to maintain. I will fix it before its gain to much. Sounds like she's familiar with The Work by Byron Katie. Such a good process to neutralise negative beliefs. Is it true ? Can I absolutely know that it's true ? How do you act when you believe that thought? Who would I be without that thought ? Powerful stuff. I've also had a similar experience with overcoming limiting beliefs by just doing the thing.. Ice baths help with that or cold showers, jump in before your mind can tell you to stop and then you can apply that to other areas. Also a regular yoga practise helped- just get up everyday and do the practise, don't get caught up in results just practise and eventually your life is totally different It's amazing

It's so motivational. I am currently doing my own business too and there were a few things which triggered me positively while listening to the later part of the interview. Silent quitters are MADE by society! If you want to know more about the how, you need to learn about their lives and it's funny because my book can actually help there. My author name is Katharina Hawthorne and in my book "A Life's Worth: The Life of a Nobody" based on a real life story you can read up about not only that, but also social inequality, chances at life in poverty, how connecting fails and much more AND on top of it all, with an autistic female protagonist who is just trying to find her place in life. In my very early years of high school I was given a lesson where the teacher said for that lesson to write down everything you want in a man and then on the opposite side what you don't want. So I found listing what I liked and didn't like really easy, someone who was a good dresser, had manners, showed respect towards women, nice teeth - that he'd be a non smoker, didn't have like a sleeve of tattoos all down his arms, that he would be polite and friendly, wouldn't swear and with good table manners. On the opposite page I put someone who was exceptionally over weight, with ginger hair, wore glasses and had spots - I don't know what the purpose of this lesson was but when the teacher heard what I didn't want she looked at me like... "you wouldn't date this type of guy?" And I could feel her judging me but she'd asked me to do this list and now was making me feel bad because of it because I wouldn't have wanted to date that specific type of guy. It didn't mean to say I wouldn't be kind to that type of guy, I wouldn't be mean, I'd talk to him and be friends but I just wouldn't date him. Anyway cut a long story short I felt my list made me sound picky, judgemental and all I really wanted was for a guy to be kind, to treat me well and someone I was attracted to and to have the manners and showing respect because I would want to bring him home to my Mom but things like smoking or having tattoos weren't deal breaking behaviours - deal breakers would be if I felt he was unkind, and if he engaged in substance abuse or engaging in crime because I wouldn't have wanted to get involved in that. I will say leading the high life did leave me broken when every school kids around me broke the rules so I had no self esteem by the time I had the opportunity to get involved with someone who turned out to be a Narcissist because I couldn't go back to being on my own again, because loniness for me was the killer thing that broke me

I don't understand the criticism of "quitting quietly" how Lisa describes in the video. Not answering work calls that aren't important when you are not on the clock is having boundaries. Not draining yourself completely for your job so you have energy for the rest of your life is smart. Yes, saying no to stuff you don't want to do can be entitled but if you are in the position where you can choose to work on something you like, why wouldn't you? I'm not suggesting doing the bare minimum to not get fired is ok, but putting your all into your job if it isn't what matters most to you doesn't make sense. I respect Lisa's attitude but not everyone is running their own company that they are passionate about. For most people their job is a means to an end.
