Your work here about the glutes is phenomenal. It has actually taken me quite a bit of time and thought and work but I have located critical weaknesses in my glute muscles that have caused these issues....and when I combine my trifecta of youtbe channels for the whole body, ocramed health, precision movement and this channel, el paso...ocramed health very good for fascial release which is critical, and precision movement for active arch and the intrinsic muscles of the feet as well as other specializations, and your absolutely terrific work on glutes...is just revolutionary in my opinion. I am coming back from a severe condition with all your help and cannot thank all of you enough as well as a few other channels I intend to thank. Absolutely fantasic.

I am following his program for Knee cap pain. Its mostly weak glutes that are root cause. Its been 3 weeks and I have been feeling a lot better. My pain/discomfort in knee went from 10 to 2. I am very close to fixing the root cause very soon. I recommend him if you have knee pain.

The medical system is so driven by profits, I believe. I’ve used many of your videos to help me with pain and advancement of hip problems. I’m a busy grandma of a 4 year old, so I have so much to do all the time. So I’m still relearning how to use my glutes properly, trying to do more reps every day. It so much, but it has to be done everyday. Everything you say makes so much sense. I know I have a muscle imbalance but the 2 separate physical therapy clinics I have been too always want to strengthen my quads as well as my glutes. I know my quads are too strong. Also, it is very hard to get a good walking coach. I know I am not doing it right and yet the therapists seem to leave this teaching for the end. I'm about three months into the hip recovery program. I can highly recommend it. The healing is slow because I was in a lot of pain to begin with. But I am very patiently attending to the exercises every day and seeing gradual improvements. This is not a quick fix BUT it is a fix for life, I believe, and so its totally worth it! I am retraining my body to use different muscles to do ordinary things like walking, and of course that takes effort and time. Thank you so much for this empowering program!

It's as if you made this video for me personally. I've had one hip replaced 13 years ago and am scheduled to have my other hip replaced. It's "bone on bone", as the x rays have indicated. I've been in pain for several years. First used anti-inflammatories. Then had a cortisone shot in that hip and it helped the discomfort for about 5 weeks. Next, Had Physical Therapy for 8 weeks. Decided to give Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment a try, even though insurance didn't cover it. It has been about 10 weeks since that treatment. It may be helping a little but not sure? I exercise about 3 times a week in a studio nearby. From what you've said in this video, I feel like I am strengthening the wrong muscles at times. Plan to check your program out. Oh im so gratefull i stumbled across your video. I started having alot of hip pain around 4 months ago until the present and i didn’t understand why it hurts so bad. Ive always been active with walking, exercise and love dancing 💃. Im 66 and never had issues with my hips before. I am Holistic and don't want the Doctors advice or medications. Thank you so much for your videos. I have had joint problems since my early 20s and I'm 72 now. Since listening to you, I realize that if I overuse certain muscles, others flare up; i.e., I injured my right knee walking up a hill, so favored it using stairs in my home. Then, my left sacroiliac became painful. I made sure to use each leg muscle equally, and the pain left. I've had L4-5 surgery, and right knee and right hip problems, so have to be careful how I exercise.

I am 46 had work accident and tore labrum in my hip as well as collapsed lung and hiatal hernia. I've had 2 surgeries in regards to hip and next is replacement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank u and keep up the great content

My hip arthritis pain was so bad I could not walk first thing in the morning, and could not close my hands into a fist. After reading Susan Blum's book, Healing Arthritis, my hip pain is gone and I can make a fist with no problem. This only took a couple of months, with no RX's. As Dr. Blum points out, few MD's are aware that dysbiosis of the gut flora is the real cause of arthritis, and many other autoimmune diseases. A friend got hip replacement surgery after being advised by someone not familiar with this, and she has never recovered properly from the surgery, while I am fully recovered, after having worse hip pain than she had.

@@Franklin-pc3xd I fully recovered using no physical therapy for extreme hip pain, after being advised to get replacement surgery. The cause of hip arthritis is not from overuse, it is due to invasive bacterial strains which infect the joint. Dr. Blum matched the strain from the joint, to invasive species found in the gut flora. It is a 3 step process to heal arthritis, which repairs the lining of the gut, kills the invasive strains, and restores the integrity of the gut flora. There was no physical therapy, or even stretching involved in the healing.

I know it helped my wife while she waited nearly 6 months for hip replacement surgery. And she just followed some of Dr. David's YT videos (this was prior to him having programs you pay for). My wife is a person who can tolerate a tremendous amount of pain. She once had an unrelenting migraine headache that lasted 8 months until her very skilled neurologist found a solution. But this hip pain was nearly intolerable for her while she was on the waiting list to have her hip replaced. The replacement was a success. She was walking on it unassisted within 12 hours of the surgery and before the surgeon was able get in at 6 am to follow up with her. He showed her pics of her hip and said he had never seen someone with that amount of hip damage who was able to walk on it prior to surgery. He apologized for not getting her in sooner. He knew it was bad, but wasn't aware of how bad it was because she was able to walk on it. We credit Dr. David for helping her walk on a hip that was utterly destroyed by arthritis and in the early stages of necrosis. So with my limited knowledge in this area, I'd say yes to your question. I think it can help. But I also think that the necrosis is a very serious problem that will likely require total joint replacement (just from what I've been told by two doctors who I would trust with my life). I'll be interested in what Dr. David has to say. I think that if you're going to have to have the surgery anyway, the earlier the better. That said, it would probably help to learn some of the techniques prior to the surgery if you have the time. My wife is still using them over a year after her successful surgery because it helps with all her lower body joint problems.

Is there research that backs up what you're saying? I understand that there are always trends in medicine that overlook some areas that probably need more attention. But what you're saying sounds very anecdotal. Also, you're very good at describing this point of view. That means that maybe part of your observed success is the placebo effect. You have a PhD and are clearly good at what you do. I've learned a lot from you over the years. But where is the scientific backing for this program? If it doesn't exist, why doesn't it? Are you doing anything to get more research done? As you know, your clinical data can spur more research. It just involves reaching out to graduate programs at universities. Students will be very interested in testing your program scientifically. I know because back before I retired, I had students come and work for me for free to learn how to do what we were doing so they could build their research program. And they came from other countries. If you have something as good as what you're describing, they will come. I guarantee it.

It would be an easy decision if there was a free trial or a refund/partial refund available if it wasn't for you. It's kind of spendy ranging from $199 to $1,000 I believe. I should say that my wife's copay is about the same price except for the fact that she isn't locked into full payment from the start without the option to quit and get a refund for services not used. I was thinking that if there was scientific backing, it would be worth the financial risk. Or, if there wasn't, and he gave me a good answer, it might also be worth the financial risk. Now I'm concerned to see that not only didn't he answer my question, he also didn't answer the important questions others asked. They just recently started this online fee-for-service model. Time will tell, but it may not work because they don't stand behind what they offer. If there aren't enough people signing up, it will be much less effective because the approach depends not only on good help, but also on the participation of other patients. I'll redo my question and contact them directly. Btw, I did look and there is some scientific support for his approach. It's in its infancy, but there is a trend moving in the direction he has been going in for many years. He's most likely ahead of his time. But there's no way to know that right now. For example, say the program works. Do the benefits hold up over time? There's no way to know because there is no clinical research on a treatment approach similar to his. The research is only on small parts of his approach and without much replication. That was my take. He would know better than me. That's why I asked the question. It would be great if he answered it here.

Due to severe hip arthritis, my rt leg was about 2 inches shorter than the left. My alignment was off, I had a horrific limp, and the pain was excruciating. I had my hip replacement surgery four days ago. Already, I have much less pain and my legs match in length. I am happy with the outcome. Do you think I could have gotten better with a non surgical approach even though my right leg was getting shorter and shorter over time?

I am struggling with a really bad right hip. My right buttock is almost completely flat and my right foot is turned far right and I can't turn it forward! I don't believe surgery can fix this but they (doctors) of course only suggest surgery! I cannot lift either leg toward the chest or lifting to go up steps.I have no pain for the most part...it went away after an MRI?? Do you do inpatient appointments? I am willing to travel. I have hip arthritis but I also have a labral tear and a sports hernia in my left hip. I'm in excellent physical fitness shape I've been working out my whole life I'm 61 years old and they want to replace my hip I've been following your channel and thinking about joining your program but I don't know if it'll work for a labral tear and a herniation. I'm thinking of getting the hip replacement and then follow your program to teach myself how to walk right and keep my muscles balance for the other side but I really don't know what to do. I'm seeing a third hip surgeon tomorrow I'm sure he's going to tell me I need surgery😅 I've never had proper PT the VA is going to put me out for community care for PT simultaneously. My hip and balance has led to a right hip arthritis which is not as bad and then because I'm walking wrong my lower back is out of alignment and I have a synovial cyst in my lower back I started strengthening my back and the sciatica went away and now the hip only hurts in the morning I'm doing good exercises and it seems to be working but the surgeon is going to tell me I need surgery I know that I guess my question is why do you accept insurance I have Blue Cross Blue shield Community Care program. With all these bills I don't have a lot of money to spend I'm just wondering what to do

when you go up a trail focus on using the glutes that is what I do, it helps reduce pain in my knee when i hike longer than I am used to.

@@rosesmith6208 Also, if you do it right, you'll find that it's much easier to go uphill and you don't get as tired. Walk how he teaches you to walk to fire your glutes. Slow down a bit. Whenever possible, keep your feet just a little bit above the ground, always landing flat and not springing off your toes with your calves. In a way, you're walking as if you're already tired when you're not. We nicknamed this the "camel walk." You can go all day like this. I think it's because you're balancing the use of all walking muscles. I never realized that it also helps prevent joint stiffness and pain. Try it next time you go over a pass or climb a mountain. It makes a huge difference.

I am a 69 y o female. I am short, a bit overweight and pear shaped. I exercised my whole life until the only thing I could do was swim. I had some hip arthritis and a spur on my right side. Degenerative disk disease in the spine caused a lot of sciatica on the right. I only had level one (out of four) displacement. I had a minially invasive L3-L4 fusion 14 months ago. I recovered well except my hip is worse. I limp and have a great loss of flexibility, (tough when you are married) I am eligible for a hip replacement. I agree the butt muscles being important to feel better. I have a good regime of P T exercises. I do core strengthening exercises. What do you suggest?

When I am standing, I've noticed my glutes are always contracted and turned on. I can turn them off, but I always still have hip pain as well as pain in my hip flexors. I don't want to have hip surgery at 52 and I'm lost on what to do next. Taking Pilates and it helps.

could the problem be the reverse? The gluts are too strong and the hip flexors need strengthen? Now granted, I worked on my quads a lot 30 years ago, but I also worked my gluts and I think walking works the gluts more than the quads and hip flexors which is all I have done the past 25 years now.

What about hereditary bilateral hip dysplasia with labrum tears & glute tears? I've never had hip arthritis, very flexible and active but hyper extended my hips running over uneven ground. Nothing is fixing my hips. PRP did not work, PT helps some focusing on glutes, great at quats with my glutes. Chiro puts the balls back in the socket but they dont stay there... i added pancreatic enzymes, a few supps, helped arthritis in my hands but my hips are not mine, i feel like raggedy ann & the dogs got my legs. im tired of crying and eating Tylenol (with NAC) like candy. I want out of this pain prison.

i wanted to chime in my knee is getting better doing the glute exercises and hip exercises and other exercises is really coming together after that bad day I had a couple of months ago I was getting depressed the mcl hurt so bad but it is getting better, glutes glutes glutes is the weakest link that needs to become stronger. my knee on right leg slips a bit so I am exercising the glutes (which only did a little due my right leg and knee doing good) but the cap slips a bit when I am walking so I am workiing on glutes on that side too and the outside and inside muscle.i am sure alot of doctor are aware of this but surgury is their bread and butter. so they wont aknowledge that which threatens their power/money. many of them watch youtube videos too. if they have a half way open mind they do listen to other professional.

Broke both femurs 8 months apart😢The repair is to insert hip joint replacements. Did not have a choice. I do not recommend hip replacements. Listen to this therapist.

I also have tight psoas that I'm dealing with as well. At least after working on this for 4 weeks I am able to sleep in my bed all night instead of tossing and turning until I get up and sleep in my recliner. Good luck

They are tight from sitting for several years as an office worker. When things go bad there is usually more than one area going bad.

That is why I got the crutches...so I can exercise again....the man here threw away my abdominal lounge, my gazelle, and my other one that helped me strengthen my lower back and vertical thing that I pull myself up against gravity...I was body building, the sexual harassment that he could come up behind me and try to be vulgar to me, made me stop exercising. I had no personal space, my ball was lost for my hip and pelvic strengthen training...and couldn't get another one. Then I tried leaving this person and I was chased by the city, to keep them away from me, also. I did NOT quit work for my health, I was forced out....and this is the problem that people won't stay out of my progress.

Aging is only correlated with hip injury is because the longer you live, the more chances you have to fall into bad habit patterns. It is NOT a function of age, but ot is a function of dysfunction!!!! LOL Once you figure out how to heal you can persist in good health your whole life. THE MORE YEARS YOU PUT IN, THE MORE CHANCE YOU HAVE TO SCREW UP if you are not learning. It is the same as the correlation between prescription drug use and aging. Yes, the older demographic uses more prescription drugs, but that does not mean it is due to aging. It is due to abuse or ignorance. A healthy 100-year-old will not go for that debilitating "care".

Every time I watch you, it seems you are against surgery. u don't have the pain . Physio doesn't do a dam thing then collecting money. Physio work is just temporary. The pain again, I hv chronic pain . Neck shoulder, knee im getting broke of Physio bc I don't hv any insurance
